We were able to visit the inn for our lunch yesterday prior to seeing a play at the opera house next door. They have a great private airport we were able to fly into right next door. The inn is approx 400yards walking distance to the airfield. We sat overlooking the Connecticut River while having lunch. We all found the...

Great place for lunch. Sit out on the deck and enjoy views of the Connecticut River. Excellent burgers. Service is great. I highly recommend it. Our waitress Sarah was wonderful. Heard the deck has outside heaters so stays open well into autumn.

Pretty area. Good service. Menu limited. Fish sandwich good. Asked for sweet potato fries they had an up charge of $3.00. Not impressed. My husband's prime rib sandwich was greasy and tough. Not running back there.

Had lunch on the outside patio, lovely setting along the Connecticut river great views of boats and ferries, swing away bridge. I had a turkey burger, served with fries, or cole slaw, just average, husband had chicken panini, his was good, served on folded nano bread with avocado, cheese, tomato. Prices are mid pricey range 10..00 for sandwich. Service was...

Next door to Goodspeed Opera House, should be ideal but beyond beautiful bones a mess: room borderline clean and had to ask for service in the morning--they seemed surprised. Above first floor, cartoons and debris visible everywhere. 5:15 dinner reservation for 7:30 show--not served till almost 7 and no time for (included) dessert and coffee. They did comp our drinks,...

This is a lovely old building located on the water directly across from the Goodspeed Opera House. The restaurant is vibrant and was busy when we arrived for our 1 night Saturday stay. We unfortunately did not get a chance to eat there because apparently breakfast is not included in the room rate and there was no Sunday breakfast just...

We stayed at the inn on the second floor, for our 20th Wedding Anniversary. Both citiperson and hahnundhudn described the hotel spot on. Outside there was junk laying around the windows by the bar and trash and cigarette butts in a large flower pot at the entrance. The room was huge, but kind of sadly run down. Things like a...

We came here for a few nights and we came to learn that it is definitely not what we expected. It was more like a B&B then anything. The suite was huge with high ceilings and a fantastic view of the river. It was very much cozy and relaxing. We had problems opening the door because it was a key...

Much like "citiperson" said, the room we had (same one from the description) left a lot to be desired: the room number falling off the front of the door; the security bar catch being busted off and the bar itself with the screws falling out; terrible lighting in the bathroom (the over sink fluorescents did not work at all, and...

Overall, our experience was positive. The structure is magnificent and the outside patio and deck overlooking the Connecticut River are great. The restaurant is very beautiful with window seating overlooking the Connecticut River. The menu was extensive and the food very good in both presentation and taste. The guest room was huge, probably the equivalent of three Holiday Inn rooms....
