This is a very affordable accommodation for me due to my business budget trip in Connecticut, only $36 per night. It's cozy and satisfied without any complaints. 5 minutes walking dstance to Tisanes, pretty cafeteria, or CVS store. 7 minutes to Ichiban Japanese Restaurant, delicious but not costly. I like to come back to stay this hostel again.

I have stayed at this Youth Hostel several times, when I come to visit my family, It costs $32.00 a night, this is the cheapest place you can stay at in the Hartford area, the couple are actually nice people maybe you should give them a chance, because they are older. This is the cheapest place every thing else starts...

I reserved a room and was sent a message that office hours are between 8 and 10 am and 5 to 8 pm. It said we should call or email during these times to make arrangements. Well the phone number was out of service and no one responded to me email. I got there at midnight and there was no...

The Mark Twain Hostel is a big decaying house (reminiscent of The Addams Family) in a pretty nice neighborhood by Hartford standards. Payment is cheap but cash only and I don't think there was a single piece of furniture in the building that was less than thirty years old. You get what you pay for. The dorms are quiet, the...

I've stayed in this hostel twice, once in October 2011 and another time June 2015. I found the linen clean, the bathroom facilities adequate. The kitchen facilities I really didn't use. I see a lot of reviews complaining about these three things and I don't see what they are complaining about. Both times I got a good nights sleep. I...

I read the reviews going in to this and was quite skeptical. There ae more negative reviews than good and one can only wonder why! First let me start with the ridiculous smell. It. was. absolutely. awful. There is no reason any establishment should contain such a smell and there is absolutely no reason the individuals who manage this establishment...

As i have already travelled a lot and i have been to some interessting hostels in third world countries, nothing can compare to this place. It is filthy, dirty and smelly!!! The whole house smells like urin and vomit. The beds of the private room had stains, I guessed it to be urin and/or blood. The location is in an...

I will be very honest with you, my fellow travelers. I am a travel blogger so I travel a lot. Have stayed in many places all over the world and without a doubt this is the absolute WORST!! Dirty as hell they NEVER clean the rooms. Bathrooms are filthy and in massive need of renovation. The mattress on the beds...

I was at the end of a week long road trip and was hoping to save some cash by not booking a full fledged hotel and the price was right-only $28 and I ended up with a three person room (with a TV and a sink) all to myself. The second floor bathroom was closed for renovation which could have...
