Stopped in here on our way out west and was so impressed we decided to stop in again on our way home. Exceptionally friendly staff, this campground is very clean and tidy, nice level pull through sites for the overnight. Grounds are well maintained with grass, trees, and lots of room between the RVs. Easy access off the main highway... More

I had booked this campground in advance, knowing it might be full if I waited until the day of arrival. That was propitious indeed. It is a nice clean place, clean washrooms, clean (free) showers with lots of hot water, nice level sites. There was a pool which I did not use, but was popular with the guests. The staff... More

We book Serpent River Campgrounds last minute. We wanted somewhere to stay where there was not a million young adults partying. This was the place for us. The owners are excellent. It was easy to get our boat in and out. We didn't use the pool as we were not there to swim. The people in the trailer park were... More

Campsite used to be a KOA and is now privately run. Owners have done a decent job keeping it up. Well stocked general store on site. It is directly on the Trans-Canada so lotsa traffic but easy to get to Elliot lake and surrounding areas from here. There is a small pool on site and laundromat. Little lake directly at... More

My husband and I were pleasantly surprised at the Serpent River Campground. Staff were amazingly helpful and courteous. The store is well stocked. The park is immaculate and very close to the river. Canoes and kayaks are available for rent. This park is in Spragge ON. Overnight sites are large, 30 amp with water and are pullthroughs. Gravel and grass... More

We had a nice gravel pull-through site. Nice clean pool. Large pet walk area. Enjoyed the new large showers where you could lock the door. Good supply of items in the camp store. Recyclables and garbage bins are conveniently located. The more permanent sites are separate from the transient sites. The couple who owned the campground were very hard working... More

This campground is right beside a major highway and far away from the water/beach. I would NOT recommend this campground for children or anyone planning on staying up past 10:00pm. We were harassed by the owner because our kids were up past 9pm laughing and playing. He was rude and unprofessional.

We are sorry to hear that you didn't enjoy your stay with us. For the safety of the children we are forced to close the playground after dark and send them back to their site. We can assure you that we were we were very polite to your children. You are correct that the serviced sites are a 5 minute... More

We stopped in for night on our way north, and found it very clean, and the owners were nice people. It had great pull thru sites that were flat and level. We didn't even have to unhook. The sites were roomy and the seasonal people were quiet and friendly. Definitely on our list for transient stops!

This campground just off the Trans Canada Hwy close to Spragg is: Clean, clean clean; inviting; green grass; wide sites; gorgeous pool; camp store. (They are impossible to find with GPS. Look up Algoma Chrysler across the highway. Even Internet's each shows entrance in wrong place.) Once you find it, use it. We will go again.

My partner and I stayed here while on a visit with his children. We live in Saskatchewan and travel 2x a year to visit his 2 children, who are 9 and 12. They had wanted to go camping for the visit and I thought this would be 'close enough". Smart choice! We were very comfortable in a Rustic Cabin, and... More
