In Mystic to test sail another boat. Located in the beautiful historic town of Mystic, the Mermaid Inn is centrally located. Walking to the marinas, historic sites, restaurants, and taverns is really easy and visually rich in the Fall. We rented two rooms: both were immaculately maintained. The large beds, sheets, and pillows were very comfortable. The rooms, especially the...

Picked the Mermaid at random and how glad I was that I stayed there. OK I had to carry my own bags up the stairs, but that is the only down side I can think of during our entire stay. It is run as a family concern and NOT a chain and this personal service is apparent from the moment...

We had a wonderful stay at the Mermaid Inn for our 10th anniversary getaway! This beautiful home is in a great location...we were able to walk to town and the seaport, and a longer walk took us to the aquarium. Josephine was so accommodating when it came to arranging our stay. We were running late on arrival and a quick...

We spent two nights at Josephine's lovely home. Our room was very comfortable with drinks and chocolates. We were in a room with a private bathroom next door, bathrobes were available for our use if popping out to use the loo in the middle of the night! Lovely choice for breakfast with the best granola we've ever tasted and Josephine...

WOW - was I ever so glad that I read the reviews and choose The Mermaid Inn of Mystic. We decided to spend a couple of days in Mystic and could not have been happier with our choice. We stayed in the Rose Room. The room was quaint, as was the whole inn. The bed was comfortable and the pillows...

Room was adaquate. Did not get fresh towels for second day! Internet review totally different than our experience. Left up to ourselves to order breakfast contrary to Internet references. The other guests filled us in on attractions, Innkeeper couldn't have cared less about our visit.

My boyfriend and I had the most wonderful experience at the mermaid inn. Our room was cute and cozy, with a large private bathroom full of any amenities we would have needed. The personal touches were what struck us as the most impressive; a fridge full of drinks and waters for us during our stay, chocolates in a beautiful bowl...

We stayed here to enjoy a peaceful and relaxed experience in a beautiful location before moving onto a city environment. We were not disappointed. the host was lovely, welcoming, and helpful with local knowledge. The accomodation immaculate and I definitely recommend the blue room. The breakfasts were so personalised and tasty, and the extras like chocolates, home baked cakes for...

We had a great first visit to Mystic and our stay at Josephine's B&B was fantastic. We are a family of four and traveled with another family of four. Josephine's hospitality was above and beyond - from the freshly baked pie and popped popcorn upon our arrival, to the goody bags with cookies, water and fruit on our departure, no...

My sister and I have been coming here for many years. It is a nice quick getaway for us, when we don't want to travel too far. Josephine makes us feel like family when we come back. She remembers the room we prefer to stay in, so when I make a reservation I don't even have to ask her. When...
