I stayed one night with my family and it was wonderful! Staff is great and the room is clean and comfortable! This is the best one in New Haven!!! Location is the best... Near everything! It was -15°C and being around Yale and restaurants made everything easier. It worths!!!

This January my husband and I visited our son in New Haven and spent one night at another hotel in the area. While our first night there wasn't a total disaster, it was uncomfortable enough for us to switch to another hotel. Enter the Study. We originally thought it was out of our price range when we looked online, but...

We had a nice but short stay at this hotel and the convenience for Yale can't be beat. It's clean and modern and, although small, the room had nice bedding and a high end bathroom. The service at the front desk was excellent and I liked the small lobby. We had a relaxing cocktail hour with snacks in the restaurant....

This review is long overdue. I've stayed at the Study many times over the last four years. Having sampled just about all of the hotels in New Haven, this is probably the best. Mind you, that's not saying much. In my experience it's generally clean, and it's on the Yale campus. The rooms are small, even if you book the...

A nice enough place, but nothing special. Room was small, particularly the bathroom. Wi-fi service was very poor reception. Leather chair in the room was very stained. Heirloom Restaurant in the hotel is terrific and we had a great meal there. Hallways were not cleared of trash or room service leftovers very quickly. This weekend had a lot of young...

There is no clearer demonstration of the revival of downtown New Haven than The Study. It is a superb small hotel in all respects - architecture and design, service, food, and convenience for Yale events. A room with a "campus view" it is well worth the extra charge - if you are planning to spend any time in your room...

I reserved an excellent room at The Study many months prior to my vacation in New Haven knowing that the best rooms wouldn't be available later. Pros: The room I got on the 7th floor was truly magnificent: it was large and beautiful, facing the striking campus of Yale University. The bathroom was tremendously spacious with floor to ceiling windows...

We very much enjoyed our stay - the room and King size bed were comfortable, quiet, and the HVAC worked well on 2 very cold nights. The staff was accommodating and helpful. We asked for a 2 hour delayed checkout and it was no issue for them. The bathroom is small and would benefit from a pocket door, but it...

My husband and I stayed here for our anniversary on New Year's Eve. Best hotel experience of our life. Quiet, beautiful views of Yale, and they let us bring our large, well-behaved dog. The front desk staff even watched our dog in the office while we had brunch at the Heirloom. Everything was awesome, and friendly, thank you!

A lovely small hotel, very tastefully decorated, boutique feel but friendly staff and not the NYC snottiness one usually gets in this type of hotel. Valet parking takes the car concerns away. Right next to the Yale Art Gallery and near the campus. Couldn't imagine a better place to stay for a visit to New Haven. Restaurant/bar a bit pricey...
