We were looking for a relaxing mini one night vacay upstate and found Blackberry River Inn on Trip Advisor. Oh how glad we are to have found it! The drive to the Inn is scenic; the town of Norfolk is quaint and dotted with antique stores; and the Inn itself is meticulously maintained. We chose the stand alone cottage for...

Thank you both so much! So glad you had a great time and enjoyed the Cottage, breakfast--including our raised waffles with real (locally sourced) maple syrup. The Cottage is great for privacy and yet those windows across the front add so much natural light. Of course the wood burning fireplace is a plus during this season. Yes, we have a...

Historic diamond in the rough. The new innkeeper is doing a marvelous job! Warm and friendly atmosphere. Spacious rooms. The main house suites are the best. Bucolic setting. Great stopover if you are planning to go to Infinity Hall. Short drive to Norfolk, Lee, Salisbury, and Millerton. Be sure to check out the Beckly Furnace just up the road off...

Sophisticated. Cows in a meadow outside. Suites fully accessorized and space generous. So far from travail and woe. Close enough to real cultural sites. Culinary destinations. Oh my, yes. Treat yourselves here. We did at New Year's eve time. Fellow guests so agreeable, we all got together fireside in the neighbors for a lengthy wine cap. Our host gracious in...

It was our first time staying here, and it won't be our last! The property was beautiful and our room was very cozy and had a fireplace. The common areas were very well kept and inviting with tea available and chocolates. The manager was terrific, very friendly and helpful with any questions we had. Our breakfasts both days were delicious...

Season's Greetings to you both! It was honestly a pleasure having you both here for your 10th anniversary! So glad you enjoyed your stay and our breakfasts. Yes, those fireplaces in our rooms and suites (M3, M4, M2, The Cottage) are particularly nice, but the common area fireplace in the library, is fantastic. Walk-in size, as you know. There is...

My stay was just one evening but I was impressed and would not hesitate to stay again when in the area. It was the perfect spot to stay for an evening when I was in the area to catch a show at Infinity Hall. Comfortable and clean accommodations, friendly staff, and fantastic breakfast. Have the waffle!

Hello Sean, Thanks so much for the great review! We are really glad you enjoyed your stay with us! Ah, yes, those raised waffles...pretty darn good:-) Glad you liked them! Of course the real maple syrup from nearby Mead's does add to the enjoyment as does the organic butter. Look forward to welcoming back! Infinity Hall is, as you know,...

Stayed in the carriage house which is lovely, but not as luxurious as the main house. However, made to feel welcome in any of the common areas throughout. An evening fire was a treat. Rooms in carriage house do have some sound issues.

So glad you enjoyed your stay! Yes, it's getting to be that time of year for the fireplaces to be busy. We will be open all winter this year, so... It's true there are some sound issues. A 130-year old building does not have the same insulation materials we do now. That's one of the reasons, quite honestly, we have...
