I loved staying in the Library Room at the Deacon Timothy Pratt Bed & Breakfast. The room was clean, quaintly decorated (as was the rest of the house), and completely comfortable. I was in Old Saybrook for business, and while I didn't have time to have the full breakfast on my last morning, Patty (one of the staff) was sweet...

My husband and I enjoyed our entire weekend in the charming, cozy, Gambrel room. Very clean, beautiful, and historically decorated. Loved the fireplace and whirlpool tub! The Innkeeper Pat, was fantastic. She helped us with dinner reservations and made a delicious variety of breakfast scones and muffins. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a romantic getaway!

We stayed here for 3 nights. We had a tiny little room in the 2nd floor. So tiny, that it gave a real meaning to ensuite bathroom.... The bath was practically almost adjacent to the bed. In addition, a tiny restroom with a sink and a mirror. The windows are from very old wood and except from one, none of...

We realize that each one of our guests rooms is located in various parts of the house. The price per rooms reflects the size of that particular space. The lesser price would be for a smaller room but would accommodate a change if available. Being built in 1746 and on the historic register the windows are older but can be...

Beautiful old home! Large guest rooms. Steep stairs up to the front door and really steep stairs to the second floor. Flashlights in guest rooms appreciated. Large bathrooms. Air conditioning. Wifi spotty but we weren't really there for that. Ice cream next door in another historic home. Loved the scrapbooks and information on the history of the home and area....

Stayed here one night while visiting southern CT. We had a very nice stay. We stayed in the Sunshine Room on the second floor. The room was very large and had an air conditioner. The home was built in eighteenth century and maintains its old charm. Be aware that the floors are sloped in spots and the stairway to the...

Stayed 2 nights here for my nephew's wedding. Very nice, but we could have used a few more outlets. The room was a bit too small. Actually, it was too much furniture and nick-nacks for the available space. The breakfasts were outstanding and the cook/ hostess was very sweet. All the staff were very nice.

Our host was extremey warm and accomodating. This place had the most relaxing tub. Everything was clean and in order. No issues at all. We were served a nice, light breakfast w/fruit and the absolute best blueberry muffins I ever had. Also had free bike usage.

The bed is comfortable, though you probably want a room that doesn't face the Main St (a bit noisy with traffic). Breakfast is terrific with wonderful muffins and real fruit (not the grocery story cut-up fruit) and also an interesting breakfast (e.g., french toast with raspberries and blueberries and yummy sausage) served on an antique table with antique china; the...

We stayed 2 weeknights at one of the two Pratt houses, in the Gambrel Room upstairs, where they have made remarkable use of limited space. That care for detail and comfort was evident throughout. The slight tilt in stairs and floor only adds to the charm of a pretty 18th Century house. And the owner and 2 caretakers were all...

Wonderful place to stay if you are looking for the atmosphere of a B & B. Comfortable, warm & welcoming from the homemade treats to the fireplaces. You're made to feel at home as soon as you walk in the door. Patty gave us the little 'tour' so we knew exactly where things were and what was available. We were...
