Renting this joint now for a month and a bit. So far had the caretaker doing lots of repairs. sliding doors one can't lock, hot water temperamental, light fittings burned out, pond pump stuffed, a sink that does not drain and you walk in a puddle of grey water ( been fixed now after the 5th complainment( floor open tiles... We have been coming to the T Houses now for seven years, but like all things houses suffer in the tropics, and they suffer more from frequently absent owners. The house we rented this time, Earl Grey, feels like it needs some spruicing. The garden looks pretty bare and lacking in love and the dvd, a boon for kids, has... More

We stayed in Oolong Villa for 4 nights. The villa was very comfortable. We loved the deck with views straight out onto the rice paddies. The furnishings, rooms and especially the outside showers were a joy. The swimming pool was great. The T House is located in a village with a number of little shops nearby, a fantastic coffee cafe... We only stayed here for 1 night and were lodged in the bamboo hut. It was a cosy suite overlooking the rice paddy fields which were amazing at sunset. The bungalow bedroom opens up to the outdoors which was lovely to wake up to. I only wish we had more time to relax here.

I stayed in the Rumah Mangga villa at the Bali T HOUSE. It was nicer than what I saw on the photos. Perfectly located for privacy, peace and quiet. Each day for a month watched beautiful sunsets! Enjoyed the pool, but most of all enjoyed the staff! They were all kind, smiling, helpful, and could not have been better. The... More

Our cottage / home was not the best so do check out all the photos online before you book the most suitable home. Ours had an outdoor bathroom which was not pleasant for shower at night (a little scary too). However, the home / rooms are clean and breakfast was nice too. Paddy views were awesome!

My partner and I stayed here for one week in August. Jasmine House is a small, cosy place full of traditional wood features and a stunning open air bathroom. We loved lying up in the bedroom and listening to the sounds of the frogs and insects at night! The staff were very friendly and came and made a simple but... More

We stayed in the T house directly opposite the pools. The house is one of several in two locations on the same street which overlooks rice fields. Had 11 year old son with us and he did not miss TV at all. Wifi was excellent. Unlike another review there is several warungs in walking distance. Both of these are excellent... More

I have stayed, with family, here on two occasions. The breakfasts provided (cooked/served in the villa's own kitchen) were good, if not outstanding. For evening meals, we took a taxi in to Ubud on most nights. Fun to buy local ingredients and cook your own Rendang. Would certainly stay again. We stayed in 2012 and 2013.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Absolutely stunning 1-3 bedroom private villas in a traditional rice farming and carving village only 5 minutes from central Ubud. Daily maid and breakfast service included. Beautiful shared pool with ricefield views. Unlike many other Balinese complexes, the unique Bali T Houses offers visitors the chance to stay in an environmentally friendly and ecologically sustainable compound, which is also part of Balinese village life and culture. Therefore there is the opportunity for much interaction with the local people and animals, whom you will observe working in rice-fields and gardens, dogs, roosters, cows, chickens, and so on, as well as passing through the houses walkways and working around them during their daily routines. If you're looking for a serene villa miles from village life this is not the place. ... more   less

“Houses at T House Kaja are better situated with more privacy than those at T House Klod. Heliconia has probably the nicest layout while Villa Mateh has a charming bedroom loft that overlooks the rice fields and large outdoor deck that's perfect for yoga or meditation. At T House Klod, Lemongrass is very spacious and good for large groups, but suffers from poor lighting in the indoor living room and ridiculous bathroom facilities. English Breakfast has a cute outdoor deck overlooking the rice paddies but is not so private due to proximity with rice fields.”
