It's a great isolated place to hang out, the cottages we stayed at were clean and tidy. The parts of the old mill still standing are a bit "enter at own risk" but with so much wild life and a really good walk to the old reservoir (bridge is a bit shakey!)....... Basically it's hard to fault for rustic chalets... More

Nyamup is probably the best place I found travelling around Australia. Inside the eucalyptus forest, surrounded by wild animals like kangaroos, emus, rabbits and thousands of parrots. When I first arrived there I could almost touch the peaceful atmosphere that was all around me. There are more than 20 cottages, really clean, very nice welcoming package, when you are inside... We spent one night here with friends and loved it. Very quiet, peaceful, private and the accommodation was clean and comfortable. We would love to come again, base ourselves here and further explore this wonderful region and all it has to offer.

We booked two cottages for 15 people , both cottages were warm , welcoming , cosy and clean . Loved the charm of the old timber cottages, open wood fire to keep you nice and warm and the lay out , could walk over to the weir , the bush surrounding , the local emus and kangaroos , was a... More

We just spent the weekend down in Nyamup with a group of 25 friends, booking 6-7 cottages in total....It was fantastic! It is such a great place to go with a group of friends as everyone could book there own cottage and then congregate around the BBQ and camp fire at night. Donna at LJ Hooker was brilliant and helped... More

This is not your 5 star accommodation, but as far as cosy goes, it was 5 star! We went on a very wet weekend, and I mean wet! Regardless of that, we had a great time. The cottage was clean, well stocked with books and games. The peaceful surrounds were a welcome change, with emus and kangaroos wandering around outside.... More

We spent 4 nights in cottage 18 , which has every imaginable gadget you need in the kitchen, books, DVDs and board games. It is very clean and comfortable. Even though it was winter the wood fire ensured the cottage stayed warm throughout the day. The tranquillity of the environment was the highlight. There are heaps of tracks to walk... More

We love Nyamup and make an effort to get there every year, bringing new friends with us each time and we want them all to love it as much as we do. Yes, the accommodation can be a little rustic and there can be differences in fit out and quality between the cottages but overall it makes for a great... More

Our family stayed 2 nights in one of the quaint cottages in Nyamup Mill Town Holiday Village (Cottage 1) and we had a wonderful experience there. It was a nostalgic trip for us, my father lived and worked on this site in 1949 after arriving in Australia from Europe. If you want to get away from the 'rat race' -... More
