We visited in early November. It was quiet, with only about 5 rooms filled. But it was just what we were looking for. The rooms are unique and well appointed. The staff is tremendously friendly, helpful and welcoming. The location, right on the water towards the end of town is great, with an awesome sunset view. The cocktail hour and...

The only reason not to stay here is because it's completely booked. I couldn't imagine staying somewhere else. The service is superb. The location is everything. The rooms in the annex are bigger than your living room.

Fun spot for lunch. Tap Room is very cozy. Food was good but not outstanding as you might expect from this beautifully location. We had a new waitperson that lower the level of service. Would return to try dinner.

Thank you for writing, we are happy you enjoyed your lunch but the Inn at Stonington does not have a restaurant on-site. There are five wonderful restaurants in walking distance though. You must have eaten at Breakwater (which is wonderful) and is located directly behind the Inn at Stonington on the harbor. You should definitely return to Breakwater for dinner...

This was a return visit for a short stay last week. We were delighted to see Sue at the front desk upon our arrival. The staff (Sue, Aubrey, Kate, Dory and owner, Bill) could not be more accommodating with their friendly demeanor and helpful tourist advice. We stayed in our usual room (#3) and it has a great view of...

WE looked for a special spot to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary and are so pleased we chose the Stonington Inn. We chose room 11 and it was lovely! Great view of the harbor. Comfortable bed, great WiFi. The staff was amazing.. from check-in (and the relaxing glasses of wine) thru 2 marvelous breakfasts, and many conversations about the area....

The Inn at Stonington is absolutely wonderful. My husband and I stayed for an anniversary getaway and we were both so pleasantly surprised. The village is quaint and the Inn itself classic New England charm. It is impeccably maintained, warm and inviting. We were greeted by Aubrey, and again, so pleasantly surprised with her personable style. She is truely an...

What a lovely experience! The staff is attentive yet relaxed - helpful yet not intrusive. The room I stayed in was super clean and well appointed with a very large spa tub. This INN cares about the comfort of their guests. There was an attention to the detail from the beginning of the reservation experience (thank you Anna Maria) until...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Inn at Stonington is a Stonington Connecticut Bed & Breakfast located directly on the waterfront in the heart of Stonington Borough. Since opening, the Inn has been featured as 'Travel and Leisures' Inn of the Month and has also appeared in 'Coastal Living,''New York Times,''Boston Globe,''New York Magazine,''Boston Magazine,' and 'Delta Sky.' Untouched by commercialism, this charming village is one of the few surviving New England seaside towns that has retained much of its 17th and 18th century flavor. Classic examples of Colonial, Greek Revival and Federal architecture can be enjoyed on a stroll down any of its quiet, tree-lined streets. During your stay with us, be sure to take in "The Borough's" variety of restaurants, antique and gift shops, and galleries - all within walking distance from our beautiful Stonington Connecticut Inn. ... more   less
