Location on the boardwalk is perfect. We had a ocean front room with balcony with lovely views of the beach. Boardwalk in front of the hotel is kept quiet and boardwalk area in general is quiet by 11 which police enforcement of curfew for minors. Room was nice, large, with couch and small kitchen area. Room has hardwood floors which our first night there clearly wasn’t cleaned and our feet turned black. We asked for the front desk for housekeeping specifically to clean the floor and housekeeping never came. Housekeeping was also supposed to come every other day and they never came. When I complained about this our last day, front desk was minimally apologetic and frankly seemed to not care that this breakdown occurred. Breakfast in the mornings was poorly staffed and food consistently cold (and the milk warm), and food was of poor quality. We ended up seeking breakfast elsewhere after two days of terrible breakfast experiences. Parking is underneath building and we never had a problem getting a spot. This hotel during prime season is absurdly expensive which made the hiccups we had with our room cleaning and breakfast and the lack of caring from the staff stand out to us in a negative light and I am unsure if we would return to this hotel.…
Great location with fabulous breakfast. Housekeeping staff very helpful. Lots of sights on the boardwalk. Evening happy hour was fun. Prices fine at happy hour. Location a bit of a hassle to get to from our location in S C PA going thru Wilmington, Del.
Location, Location, Location ! Absolutely best views and the ocean sounds from third floor balcony ! (Note with dune restoration, there's not really ocean view even from the boardwalk.) Unbeatable for access to everything ! Note beach chairs and umbrellas are not available after Labor Day. That was the only thing that was unclear even a few weeks before. Room and property was in very good condition. All staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly.
Beautiful location - right on the beach - make sure to ask questions even though they say “includes” - Pool was not functioning - Kitchen was damaged - breakfast was cereal and coffee - make sure you inquire about the pet friendly hotel - we stayed on the “smells like wet dog” floor - otherwise friendly help - great location - they just need to clean up their act a little - and way over priced for the value - unless you actually get breakfast, the pool and the other amenities -
The property was very clean with safe parking and excellent access to the beach and boardwalk shopping and dining options. The staff were delightful and ready to promptly address any need or concern from the moment we arrived. The most memorable service excellence encounters were with Rai Harrell in management and Pamela Morgan in housekeeping. My family members booked several oceanview balcony rooms and they were well worth the added dollars to gain the covered outdoor seating area and great scenes we had from the 3rd floor. The food in the hotel restaurant was delicious so I definitely recommend dining with them for lunch or dinner. For my next visit I'll likely wait until the pool renovation is over for added options on rainy days, and for the phase to replace the sitting area furniture for maximum comfort if staying indoors for a long period.…
What a wonderful place to stay. We had an ocean front room with a balcony on the third floor so we could see and hear the ocean all the time. The breakfast served daily was extravagant and delicious. The restaurant served wonderful food and had excellent service. The umbrella and chair coupons were lovely and if you got there too late to get them, you could still get an umbrella and chairs, you just had to pay for them. And the company supplying them put them up for you wherever you wanted. I will never stay anywhere else. Five stars.
A few days before checking in, I found out the pool we chose the hotel for was closed for the season, and had been since I booked it. I was livid! I was ready to cancel and book a new reservation, but I could not beat the hotel's beachfront location. I'm glad I didn't because we didn't miss the pool. We stayed in the awkwardly located presidential suite (you have to walk into the restaurant to get there). You are responsible for your own luggage. Yes, there are dunes blocking your ocean front view, but it's very easy access on and off the beach. The previous reviews helped me as we knew to rise at 8 every morning to get chair and umbrella vouchers before they ran out for the day. People start filling the beach at 9 am. Our room was huge with a full kitchen we did not make the most of because of all the delicious food steps away. My husband and I had a private bedroom while the kids shared a pullout couch in the living room. There's an annoying TV blaring in the bathroom mirror that even the front desk couldn't tell us how to opperate, but the living room remote worked. Maid service was daily, but she usually took all of our towels and didn't replace them. It was easy enough to get a stack at the front desk though. The room was nicely decorated and even had a broom so we could collect all the sand we inevitable brought bacj I've seen a l…
You can’t beat the location. Easy walk to the beach, town center, and restaurants. The room was clean and nice, and the housekeeping staff was excellent. Our deck overlooked the beach and down towards Sea Colony,. We kept the sliding door open and all you could hear were the crashing waves and sea birds. It’s is pet friendly, which makes the hallways smells a little, but the rooms and stairways are fine. It’s pricy, but with a frig, dishwasher, and stove, it is comparable to a house and it was only 2 of us.
We can to this hotel to be on the beach and have a relaxing few days. Arrived at 12:30 and was told the all the chairs and umbrella were taken for the day and that I needed to go down to the front desk the next morning to get a ticket for chairs and umbrella. No offer from anyone to help with luggage and no cart available. After checking into the room decided to get a couple of towels for the beach so went to the front desk again and was told no towels available had to purchase them, I believe for $12.00 each. How crazy is that.....Was suppose to stay 2 night and canceled my second night. Hotel is in need of a facelift as well as some customer service. Parking is $25.00 a night.
My husband and I stayed in the oceanfront room #133. If you don't mind the sewer smell coming up through the bathroom drain its not a bad room. A bit dated and clearly not worth the price. We complained about the smell 3 times but no one addressed the issue. Will NOT be back. Pool was closed and the bar closes at 10 p.m.
