We spent one night while visiting our son and his family. We knew the moment we pulled up to this B&B, that we had made the right choice. We were greeted by Yvonne, who immediately made us feel welcomed. She showed us to our room and told us to make ourselves at home. The next morning Yvonne made a delicious,...

We stayed for one night in Dover and got the recommendation for The State Street Inn from our guidebook; it was a perfect recommendation. Yvonne and Mike were charming, helpful hosts who made our stay in Dover nigh-on faultless. The location is excellent, the room charming, the bed very comfortable and the breakfast delicious. If you are ever visiting Dover,...

The hosts were very warm and welcoming people. The room was nicely furnished and very comfortable. Most important is that we slept well. The four bedrooms are all upstairs just in case stairs are an issue for you. There is plenty of street parking. Finally, the breakfast was excellent.

Stayed one night in this beautiful home the room was gorgeous and our hosts could not have been more helpful. Thank you Yvonne and Mike for a good steer for dinner too. The breakfast was delicious and more than enough. Over all a 5 star in my book for both the accommodations and the convenience to places we wanted to...

We wanted to stay in an inn close to the historic district, so we could easily walk into town. Our only choice was the State Street Inn, but there was no cause to worry. The home is beautiful both inside and out, our "Caesar Rodney" room was spacious with lovely extra touches, and our hosts were gracious and friendly. Breakfast...

This lovely 1915 Craftsman home is lovingly tended by hosts Mike and Yvonne, who will go to great lengths to ensure their guests feel right at home. All four bedrooms are appointed with lovely decor, soft robes, plush towels and comfortable beds. Wireless access is a plus. Highly recommend!

We had a 50th anniversary party this September and booked a room for a weekend at the State Street Inn. It turned out to be one of the nicest bed & breakfast experiences that we've had this year. The hosts, Mike and Yvonne, were a warm, welcoming couple who went out of their way to make us feel at home....

I hate to say this, but this inn is outstanding. I fear that this very positive review will hurt my chances of getting a reservation there the next time I visit Dover. This past weekend was our fourth time at the State Street Inn and every time we found it to be consistently excellent. The innkeepers, Yvonne and Mike, are...

State Street Inn has everything you'd want from a perfect B&B: fabulous, historic property and rooms, welcoming hosts and a delicious breakfast. Our room was very comfortable, spotless and completely charming. The bathroom was large and the shower good. Everywhere was spotlessly clean. Nearby there is a pub with craft beers and the Inn is easy to find. Free wi-fi...

This place is so charming. If ever in Dover a must. This is our second time staying here. The rooms are so quaint and the owners very sweet. A very lovely front porch with rockers. We will definitely be back to the lovely B&B.
