Had I paid $60 for this motel, I would give it 4 stars. But my rate was $145 on a few days advance reservation. That being said, the room reeked of smoke. I don’t typically mind being around smokers, but that musty smoke that saturates the bedding and walls is too much to breathe in all night. Since it was just me and my toddler, and we had nowhere else to go, I was stuck. When I notified the front desk, she quickly came over with an air purifier. It helped the smell a little, but I still woke up with a horrible migraine which I had to cope with on my long drive home. The room was completely adequate for a motel. The walls are thin, as to be expected, and the room was old but clean. I received a phone call that woke me and my toddler up around 7am. I just heard a child’s voice on the other end saying “someone is talking!” But there is was no one else. This was really frustrating because once I’m awake, I can’t go back to sleep. I was really hoping I could sleep in late before my drive. When I told the woman at check out about my experience with the smoke, she was empathetic and apologized. Everyone who works there is kind. However, those two major things made the $145 feel like an incredible waste of money. In hindsight, I would have paid the $300 to stay in rehoboth beach if it meant I could wake up late, without a migraine, and safely drive home the next morning.…
Fantastic helpful staff at a clean and cost effective motel. Motel is always clean and staff always so helpful. This motel is off the beaten track but still close enough to everything. I like it because its not right in the heart of all the beach noise.
Ok first things first. The hotel said it was 6/7 miles away and it was but it was off to the east/west. Meaning it was not on the same road as the boardwalk. You have to turn and travel along a road make another turn ride some more to get there. If you want to drink and not drive then this place is not for you. Second the motel did not look bad from the outside and the inside was t bad exact. You could tell there was def cigarettes being smoked in the room even though the motel stands behind a smoke free environment. The carpet def has seen some rough parties. Def would not walk barefoot on the carpet. The bed was ok. Not extremely comfortable. The price to me was too high for what you get. Your not really that close to the beach and during the winter months I’m sure this motel is going for $60 a night. Good for one night only!!!!…
Super friendly owner, helpful. Park in front of room. Furniture very dated, ceiling broken. Carpet torn. Smells of nicotine. Duvet on bed very very old. Sheets were clean. AC loud. Food court nearby. Cheap
Sea Esta II is the kind of motel that I stayed with my family when I was a kid. Not a chain. Nothing too fancy. Not a chain. It’s clean and has a pool. Rooms have coffee makers, mini fridge, and microwave. I’d recommend this spot for any traveler who appreciate value but doesn’t need fancy.
