For the most part, this hotel was clean and quiet. Our room on the second floor was comfortable. Just a few things which need to be addressed... The soap dispenser in the bathroom is much too far away from the sink. It needs to be moved. The pillows are not very comfortable. The complimentary breakfast isn't worth mentioning. Lastly, we were there for 3 nights. The rooms are supposed to be cleaned every other day. Ours was not. We spoke to the manager who spoke to housekeeping. They claim we left our Do Not Disturb sign on the door. I know for certain we did not. The same thing happened to us during another stay at a different Hilton property. Perhaps this is the excuse they use when they don't want to clean all the rooms. Anyway, the manager pacified us by adding 5000 points to our account. All-in-all, it was a pleasant enough place. Would I stay again? I suppose.

Great service, and clean room. They have a great breakfast provided by The Hampton. Coffee is great and available longer than breakfast. The staff all seem nice and very accommodating to their customers. I enjoyed their exercise room on this trip as well, they have a nice pool also.

New hotel but not adequately clean. The sign outside the hotel proclaimed they are hiring housekeepers and you can see the need in the room. My room wasn’t very clean and I suspect they are short on housekeepers. Last guest’s used washcloth was in the floor and it looked like there was dried mucas by the toilet.

This was our second overnight at this hotel. We should have learned from our first stay when we were placed next to the loud elevators...but we decided to give it another try. Upon check we were told the hotlel is understaffed and rooms were limited. We later found out the hotel is being used as a homeless shelter/transitional housing. We were placed between 2 rooms that were designated for the shelters. We were traveling with small kids and our room had an adjacent door connecting to one of the rooms. The walls are very thin and could hear a TV blaring all night and loud yawning from one side and women arguing on the other side as well as screaming and yelling in the hallways. This behaviior continuted throughout the night and early morning. My husband went to the front desk to complain around 4 AM, however there were several peaple in the lobby and he didn't want to make waves. Finally around 7 AM we both went to the front desk to complain about our stay and the fact that we did not get any sleep due to the noise all night and not feeling safe. The 2 staff members on duty offered a pathetic apology and confirmed that some rooms were designated for the shelters and some arrived in the middle of the night. You would think they would not put people paying $240 a night between people from shelters. I will never stay here again and I suggest you dont either. Please stay away from this place.

Clean, quiet, on the older side. Convenient location. Coffee in lobby was good and available early. Small Indoor pool. Very good water pressure and hot water some hotels do not have hot enough water. Stayed on third floor facing main road not too much road noise. If you want stay on the back side of hotel.

When arriving to the hotel for check in at 3pm, I was told that I was not able to check in. They said no rooms were available, because they didn’t have maids to get rooms clean. Had to get ready for a wedding in a conference room, and a single dirty bathroom at the end of the hall. The hotel provided us with an iron, ironing board and small mirror to get ready with. I paid for a room from 3 pm - 11 am. I was not able to check into my room until 130 am. The hotel knew that the shuttle left for the wedding at 345, and still did not have rooms ready on time. If you do not have enough staff, then you shouldn’t be taking reservations for rooms that you know you can not have clean. This is completely unacceptable. My girlfriend and I will not be staying at a Hilton again.

Maybe overall this place isn’t that bad, but there were a number of glitches on our trip. Firstly, this was a really strange room layout, the king bed pointed towards the window, and not in the direction of the TV. I’ve never seen this layout, I presume for good reason (as if “well, at the end of a long day I love to stretch out on the bed and watch . . . the Labcorp Building across the street??” – we couldn’t comfortably watch TV from the bed, only from a single chair far across the room). Don’t know if this is the case for all rooms, or if we just had bad luck? Breakfast was not impressive, very limited options, especially hot ones, the fruit salad looked sort of grungy, we often grab a banana on the way out but all of them looked bruised and over-ripe. And no microwave in the room! Also, I thought it was part of room-prep protocol to make sure alarm clocks from previous occupants are turned off? – ours rang at 5:15 AM. And we parked around back since our room was just above that entrance, but the digital key would not open the outside door as the posted instructions indicated it would, so we had to walk around front anyway. Overall, pretty disappointing experience.

Hotel staff member Melanie from Hampton Inn, Middletown De 19709 was phenomenal in showing care & empathy in potentially booking a hotel room for my family member to not be exposed to the treacherous ice storm we just incurred. Melanie showed true compassion in my time of need. She went above & beyond in assuring my loved one would be out of safety’s way. Driving through DE and stayed here for one night. The room was clean and comfortable There are groceries and many eateries in the immediate vicinity so that makes it more appealing. Check-in and check-out was easy. They had breakfast to go in a brown paper bag which entailed: a fruit, granola bar, muffin and apple juice; they also had little boxed cereal, yogurt, milk and coffee. They give complimentary water which is at the front desk at any time you want. Also, the pool is open and it appears as though you have to sign in to use it at a certain time, however, we definitely were not going in any pool! The hotel is about 30 min from Christiana Mall. The one major issue though is that you cannot control the AC in the room; it's like they disabled it. So what happens is the air turns on automatically periodically and its very annoying! The other thing is, the ice machine and vending machines on our floor (3rd) was not working - another annoying thing. Oh, one other annoying thing is that the room doors slam and it's startling to hear that when people come and go.

One issue was the room was set up in an awkward way. The bed faced the windows and the TV was on the side causing neck strain when watching it. The pillows were too soft and didn’t support you well enough if you like to sleep a little higher up. The breakfast was very good and included everything from fresh fruit and salad to waffles, eggs cereal, prepared oatmeal and bagels.
