Besides the beautiful view and beautifully manicured landscape, Jerai Hill Resort has nice indoor restaurant and outdoor cafe overseeing the view, 1000 meter above sea level. 3 weeks ago, We had a church camp with 32 of us staying for 2 nights. Thanks to the Sales Dept, Puan Amira, who was very professional and helpful in making our 2 nights event went without a hitch. Puan Amira was also very communicative during our booking and organizing of the event. The housekeeping and maintenance Services were excellent when we called for them during our stay. The meals (including one night of Steamboat) for our group were very good and sufficient. The restaurant staff are polite and efficient. The bedrooms are clean, spacious with tea/coffee facilities, mini fridge and hairdryer. The common complaints from my group is that the ceiling fans are dirty (there’s no air-con) and top of cupboards not clean. They did not dare put the fan on incase the dirt got thrown all over the room. Some of the bathrooms needs sanitizing and thoroughly disinfecting. Overall, all of us, enjoyed the resort, their facilities and their services. Highly recommend Jerai Hill Resort for a getaway or hosting an event.

Since we went after the CNY weekend, we were given a room with the least favourable view. The items in the room are old, but still looking good. The only thing I'd complain about is the sound the fan is making when we turn it above 2. ikk ikk. like that. Otherwise, the location is good, food is good as well, there's also a cafe on it, and they offer lots of activities with a 'reasonable' top-of-mountain price ;)

It’s one of the best places to stay and relax by doing nothing. Eat and rest where the food is delicious with comfortable environment. Don’t expect strawberry farm to be like Cameron, yet good efforts from Regency Jerai hill team. Flying fox schedule arrangements a bit disappointing as didn’t turn up as promised at 10am.

This resort was beautiful and overseeing the paddy fields. Day time was very crowded as the resort open for public. It was a great place for cuppa coffee but during my time there, they run out of coffee beans. At night was abit chilly and windy. Dinner and breakfast was yummy. Room was neatly done but toilet is a bit dirty because we noticed mold stains on the sink, toilet bowl and wall. Despite the toilet part, we had a good sleep and will highly recommend this place to family and friends.

As a Nordic Walking Coach in Malaysia, I am frequently scouting for suitable places to lead my nordic walkers be it a flat terrain or an undulating one so was I not glad when in the course of my research I came across this scenic hilltop called The Regency Jerai Hill Resort in Gurun. Imagine I am an octogenarian and lived all my 8 decades in Malaysia and had not visited this lovely sight called Jerai Hill Resort. So very quickly I made up my mind to explore this cool hill and nordic walk the treks and trails it pride in - with four close like-minded friends Manjit, Jasbir, Harjit and Sukhinder - all veteran nordic walkers who had a love for nature walks and such adventure in a cool ambience. So on 19th November 2019 the five nordic walkers had a fun train ride of 4.45 hours from KL SENTRAL to Gurun. From the foothills of Mt Jerai we were transported by van pre-arranged by one extremely efficient staff of the resort Puan Yanie who was actually responsible for all the arrangement of beautiful rooms with splendid views. We couldn't have asked for more as she took a personal interest in looking into the nitty-gritty of making our short sojourn on the hilltop as comfortable as possible. Thank you Puan Yanie. We had come to explore the place to see if it was suitable to commute a coach-load of 44 nordic walkers many of whom are seniors in their septuagenarian years. We met the knowledgeable friendly helpful trek guide Lutfi who took us on an extremely interesting trek within our means and throughout the walk explained all about the flora and the different plants and their medicinal benefits. Yes, Manjit and I happily made it to the waterfall on all fours. The others resolved to make it in our next trek. For meals we had some preferences and dietary requirements as we are non-beef eaters. For this we happily met a wonderful gentleman head of F& B Encik Anuar Mat Isa as well as the Exec Chef Ayob. He promised to look into our dietary needs and weren't we surprised when the next day we had a specially prepared lunch to suit our needs of more vegetables and fish and less chilly and less red meat as this was going to be a HEALTH CAMP for Seniors and a nutritious diet of more vegetables and fruit was our main concern?Thank you Puan Yanie for giving us this personalised treatment and introducing your Chef and F & B Head Encik Anuar to us for now we are certain this resort does cater for individual dietary requirements for its customers and guests. Yes we loved the adequate local fruit served to us at breakfast. To Puan Yanie thank you for making our trip memorable with the shuttle service organised for us along the zig-zag ascent to the hilltop; the special meal requirements arranged for us with less fried stuff and less chilly and less red meat but more vegetables and fruit; and seeing to our comfort. We are returning with a busload of 44 nordic walkers and their families and friends to explore and enjoy your beautiful clean crisp air resort. We just love the tranquility of the resort.

We drove up hill early morning, on the way uo hill we met a number of joggers and hikers. They choose to take this road instead of the walking trails but create sometimes dangerous situations. The road leads through the jungle and from time to time we saw some Longtail Macaques with young. Once at the top we parked the car for three ringit and walked to the Simple Cafe with terrace and splendid view to the paddy fields and sea side of Kedah. The cafe serves a number of cold and hot drinks and pastries, sweet as well as savory. The service is friendly and efficient, it is a pleasure to spend some time on the terrace and to enjoy the view, drinks and snacks. Nearby are a few attractions such as archery. There are a few nice trails too, for example to a waterfall. A nice place to visit from time to time.

The reason i gave 3/5 is mainly due to the rooms that we stayed is very poor and lack of maintenance. We make a booking for 3 deluxe rooms instead of standard rooms to wish that we all able to have better accommodation for this stay. But, the rooms that we have is very far from the reception/restaurant and it's located at the other end of the hotel, we all have to carry the luggage with small kids to walk over there with uneven path. Rooms condition are poor and dated, lighting is dark, only one plug is working for phone charging and furniture a bit dusty. Anyway, this hotel still worth for stay if you go for premium room booking. Hotel have a great location, beautiful landscape and stunning view but...poor hotel management.

Heading to this place is quiet adventures to reach up to the hill. But once you reach to the top no words can describe the place. The scenery is not what I expected. I am amaze with the landscape, the ocean view from the hill. Weather is windy, cold and chilly. Room is complete with amenities and bed is comfortable. Food in restaurant is tasty. There is cafe that you can enjoy coffee or pastry while enjoying the view. You gonna like it!

The Pool side rooms are well maintained & a favorite for families with children. Nice hiking trail into the nature with small water falls & streams. Cool weather around the year. The resort also close to the Nature & Timber museum. Can Drive up to the resort by own car or bike or just hike up.

The view is breathtaking. Nothing much to do, except than enjoying the scenery and take lots of photos. Food is only available at the cafe, and small outlet at the hotel. The outside food stall closes around 7.30 pm as the operators stayed at the mount of the Jerai Hill. The rooms are small, old and enough just for one person to walk around. The temperature is nice which makes the swimming pool too cold to swim except probably around 12 noon. One night stay is enough. Can’t seem to find the SPA though. The receptionist needs a lot of practice and training. The buggy driver is helpful but unfortunately not enough buggy for everyone. The roads towards the hotel is only for those who dares driving and please avoid night driving. There’s also a water spring that’s famous for its healing purposes at the top of the Jerai Hill. There’s a big and pretty mosque as well at the top of the Jerai Hill.
