At first they assigned me a room far from lobby, but when they found I was handicapped they moved me to a closer room for handicapped. Very clean and newer furniture and bedding. The only drawback was they wanted a $100 room deposit IN CASH, would not take credit card.

I was hopeful that the hotel would be nicer than older reviews stated because of recent remodeling.
While the obvious things were shiny and new, the work done was sloppy. In my guest room the "Desk" chair cushion was not attached to the chair. The caulking around the tub looked like it was done by an amateur in a hurry. The webbing of the folding luggage stand was stuck in the non-functional room safe, so it was not usable.
The breakfast offering consisted of stale donut holes, instant oatmeal and frozen waffles. Donut holes and waffles were all but gone when I checked it out at 9:00 AM.

Although the rooms we reserved were very clean, the place smelled of cigarette smoke, even the non smoking rooms. Very noisy with the traffic outside. In the morning, we were met with no hot or cold water in the showers, management never informed us if such issue. Upon checkout, we asked for some type of compensation and all we got was "sorry sir, we didn't expect this" guess I should of figured it wasn't the best place when there were three cars in the parking lot upon arrival! We won't be back next year on our way to the beach!

Overall, very unhappy. From the "weekly room rental" advertised on their sign to the bulletproof glass the clerk sits behind, this location is awful. This is more of a no-tell-motel if that's what you're looking for. There was someone hanging out in a third floor window at all hours, watching everyone who walked in and out. The entire place smells like weed, try explaining that to young kids. The road is very busy and loud, even at night, don't expect to get much sleep. The beds were hard, the floors & bathroom were filthy, the curtain didn't cover the whole window & the extra pillows we were given had cases on them that looked like they were "last resort" pillows in someone's lake house basement. 10/10 AVOID IT!

I wanted an inexpensive hotel for the night before an early flight out of ILG. The room was small, but fine for one person. It looks like the room had recently been updated with new bathroom sink/vanity, toilet, shower tile, carpet and maybe even the bed also. The shower head was great with lots of water pressure. The room was very clean and comfortable. As a woman traveling alone, the room entrances were all interior. I felt perfectly safe. I'll stay here again!

The gentleman at the front desk was very helpful and friendly. The room was totally fine! It was very clean and comfortable The bathroom was new. I would definitely stay again.

Clean rooms clean sheets with best emenitees avaiable. Priced correct with breakfast in mind, wifi and a quiet environment with cable and HBO .A one of a kind rooms like none other .Thanks super 8 😎.

No problem with them asking for a cash deposit this year, accepted my points reservation. Everything fine except bathroom door would not close as rubbed against flooring. No sign of the free breakfast in lobby. Fast checking and check out.

This is literally a crack motel. Tried to save a few bucks and got burned. My kids were scared. Filthy. The smell of weed was overwhelming in the hallways. Avoid at all costs. Apparently smoking more than cigarettes is allowed here.

I have stayed at numerous Super 8's in the past with few issues. The New Castle DE location is a nightmare. The entire hotel smells rancid. The rooms are filthy with the bathrooms being filled with mold and pubic hairs from prior guests. There is no excuse for the level of filth in this hotel. Anyone who has left a positive review is either a relative or friend of the owner just boosting their ratings.
The beds are also horrible - very soft and worn out. The beds need to be replaced as they also sag with the edges being totally broken down.
The owners are obviously very cheap. There are signs around the continental breakfast stating the "Health Department" prohibits taking food into the rooms for sanitary conditions. Yet, our room had a microwave, refrigerator, and coffee maker with cream and sugar packets. What they really want to say but maybe can't is that the cheap muffins and cereal must be eaten in the area and not taken out of the area cause they don't want to provide a breakfast to go for people in a hurry.
When the above issues were brought to the attention of the management they said... what do you want us to do about it... I said correct the issues... "Oh... We can't do that!" was their reply.
Unbelievably Horrible was the total over-all experience at this hotel - Avoid at all costs !!!
