I was greeted at the front desk who was helpful in getting my digital key to work on my phone.
The room was clean, quiet, and comfortable.
They don't have a true bar in the hotel, but for the manager reception they have a small area set up for drinks and light snacks. They had complimentary beers and wines along with others at a nominal fee. The attendant was very friendly.
The breakfast set up was great with make to order eggs along with sides.
Overall, a nice place to relax while on a trip to the area.

This feedback is to compliment one of your employees, AMANDA HAY, who went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. We were guests at the Newark DE Embassy Suites for the recent graduation weekend May 26th - 30th. When we booked, we were told that your king suite at that location was sufficient for myself, my wife, and our two adult daughters (the queen suites were not available). The king suite was not adequate (the small uncomfortable pull out was impossible for 2 adults). We were actually looking to move out of the hotel to any accommodations that would fit my family. Amanda went way beyond to make sure we were put in to a queen suite and even texting us when one became available. No other staff member at the hotel seemed to care. She deserves praise from your organization.

The rooms are spacious and our family of three was comfortable in a king suite with sofa bed. The front desk personnel are sorely lacking in communication skills, however. I repeatedly asked for more towels and toilet paper (our suite, for some reason, was only stocked for two guests), to no avail. When I asked one last time about toilet paper, about 9:00 PM, the woman told me the hotel was out of it. Really? I have to go and buy my own? She said she really didn't know. On the elevator back to my room, I happened to be joined by a man from the maintenance department. I told him I just needed a roll of toilet paper, and he said "no problem." Less than five minutes later, he showed up at our room with three rolls. As for the towel, I grabbed that from a housekeeping cart at the end of the hall. We never did have any housekeeping service in the three nights we stayed there, even though we requested it. The man from maintenance, Confessore, was very helpful, however. And the complimentary breakfast was great, including made-to-order eggs and omelettes. The decor is a little shabby and the lighting was very dim in our suite.

Currently writing this review from the college park location. I am highly disappointed in the Hilton brand. The upkeep of these rooms are embarrassing. The tub was not cleaned Properly, and the pull out bed sheets appeared to be on from a previous stay. I’ve been here for 5 days, on the second day, upon requesting room service, I was told it’s not done on the weekend. At check-in, this was not explained. On Monday, I requested room service again and was told it was to be requested the day before. Upon stating that I called on Saturday, front desk hung up on me disregarding my pleas. At this point, the trash is flowing out of the two available bins within the room. The dishes were stock piled and the rug needed to vacuum. Later the day, up my return to the room, I noted that they removed the trash, the dishes in the tray (not the sink), and the bathroom was light cleaned and restocked. The beds were not made and the carpet was not vacuumed. I’m addition to the upkeep, for THREE CONSECUTIVE DAY, the fire alarm kept going off asking for an evacuation of the property. The first occurred in the day so no biggie. However, the second occurred around 7 a.m., and the second which was today and prompted this review occurred at 5:25 a.m. all instances were false alarms. All instances rung for about 4 minutes waking up my young kids who could not go back to sleep. Please before you check in, inquire if they were able to resolve the fire alarm issue and about room service.

Poor Housekeeping, maybe understaffed. Bring your, mop and broom. I had to move to another room. 1st room was nasty. 2nd room no better. Housekeeping can not see hair on shower, ceilings , inside beds and floor. Customer service not welcoming per other Hilton properties I have visited. This property need a total renovation from rooms to staff. However, If you want a nice breakfast. Mr Frank makes a good veggie omelette. Ms. Tori waitress/hostess was very pleasant greeting the guest. Breakfast was the highlight of this stay. Front desk, housekeeping needs major work .

My first time visiting Delaware but not my first at embassy suites. Never had an experience like this at any embassy suite I have been to. First we got there at around 8:00 ish and front desk receptionist said the room we booked was not available anymore since we were the last family to check in and that there was only one room available and if we don’t like it then we should cancel the reservation! I told her that it was available when I booked it online and it should have been held for me . She said there was nothing they can do because the hotel was fully booked . My son wanted to swim in the pool so I asked if we can and she said that it was one family at a time and 9-10:00 was adult swim only which was fine . . We got to our room and settled down. My husband and son wanted to check out the hotel and noticed that there were kids and families swimming in the pool at 9:30 pm. My son was upset that he wasn’t allowed when the other people broke the rules for the adult only hour swim. We dined at TGIF within the hotel and staff and food were really good!!! We got to our room after dinner and noticed that there were no extra linens or pillows. There were candy wrappers under the couches and items stuck in between the couch seats . There was no bag for the ice box. In the bathroom there was a used toilet paper roll that was almost empty and no extra roll. We had to call the front desk for linens and toilet paper which they brought almost 45 minutes later. The bathroom was dirty as well. The only good part of our stay was the grab n go breakfast but only my kids were able to get it because I wasn’t able to walk up and down four flights of stairs because the elevator was broken. My son finally got to swim in the pool the next morning but noticed the water was very dirty and disgusting never again will I visit this hotel again I would rather try the hotel next to it . Check out was easy, I gave them the keys and that’s it!! Steer away from this hotel!!

Don't even think about renting a suite if you plan for someone to sleep on the sofabed. It is beyond bad. You can literally feel every spring digging into your back. Laughable really. And TG we checked the room for bedding when we checked in. There was none and it took at least an hour for a very nice staff person to "go down to the basement to see if there's a clean blanket"? Also wonky WiFi.

Everything from the moment I checked in to the moment I checked out was horrific. Staff placed me into a dirty room, laughed when I requested anything clean and there is never a manager on site. Prior to checking out staff came into my room to “clean” went through my bags and ate my daughters cupcakes that were for her birthday today. I have still yet to speak with a manager. I have plenty of pictures and posted a review on google with a complaint filed at corporate who isn’t doing anything but giving points I do not want nor will use. Disgusted and beyond pissed.

Thinnest walls ever! Not only did I have to listen to both rooms surrounding mine, playing their television (at moderate levels), I got to hear the conversation and cell phone tones well into the evening when I would typically try to sleep. Did I mention the the bathroom noises too? I just am thankful that neither party seems to be in the mood for bed room activities! Other wise, it is a decent hotel, but seriously bring your own white noise, fan, anything to cover sounds if you want to sleep before 11pm. And understand to get the AC to work, you have to power off the thermostat then when it clicks back on, immediately drop the temperature to your requirements, other wise you are in for a sweaty sleep. Pillows are nice though.

We stayed for 3 nights in February 2024. The rooms are big, the bed is comfortable. The ventilation is a little noisy, but it provides sufficient heating. Internet is fast and free. The breakfast is sufficient and nice. Omelette is made according to your preference. A little far from the city center. There is a TGI Fridays at the entrance of the hotel, but it is a bit low quality. It's a nice hotel to stay when you go to Newark.
