The Marriott Courtyard Newark-University of Delaware is a good, standard, middle-range accommodation immediately adjacent to the university's Clayton Hall conference center and within a 20-minute walk of downtown Newark, Delaware. There's plenty of free parking. The facility is located on the Laird Campus, which is just north of the main business district and the university's central campus; it is much...

Bring your own pillows. Otherwise the hotel is great except that it has synthetic sheets. The building is redecorated and the change is positive. The staff at the main desk is great, except for the older man (named Mike or John -- we have forgotten) who is gruff and unfriendly. The parking is tight now that they have taken up...

Just stayed here 3/6/15 for 1 night. I have stayed in numerous hotels all over the country and I can say that this is probably the cleanest one I have ever stayed in. Asked for a balcony room and one was provided with no problems. All of the staff was extremely helpful as well as just plain nice to be...

I stayed here for business in March 2015 and was very impressed with the facilities, amenities, and their food options that were included with the room rate. Rooms were clean and well taken care of. I would certainly stay here again when traveling.

I have stayed here for 2 days. Service is very good. Rooms are very clean. Hotel is close to campus and they have a free parking lot. I would definitely come back to here. Only thing I didn't like and not very important is that you don't have a lot of food options.

Not only does the staff at this hotel go out of its way to make your stay wonderful. The food is incredible I recommend the award winning crab cakes. The bar has a wide variety of craft beer and a great wine list. The WI FI is FREE.

I stay here regularly. For a reason. Clean. Quiet. Attentive staff. Good sleeping rooms. Lousy in-room coffee. Typical Courtyard breakfasts A little hard to get in and out of parking lot-free parking. Many restaurants nearby for lunch and dinner. Not many choices for breakfast. Front desk slow on incoming calls. Laundry service good and many nearby walking trails. Bottom line....
