Would have given this an extra star if there was a working ice machine and a TV channel listing. Room is old but was clean. Had electric outlets near bed and desk. We were looking to save money and this hotel was fine for the price but I was upset that so many lower price Choice Hotels have no ice machines. No breakfast at this hotel. A few minor upgrades would have earned an extra star.

The pictures in the website looks good but that’s about it. The good: the bed sheet weee clean and the bed was comfortable. However, the rooms smell like a chimney, like smoke, like if they have a smoking machine inside. The floor was not that clean the bath tub was ok but it was like stained the floor…

My issue, manager cancels my reservation prior to my arrival. I called to learn why, yet this is after I was turned away at check in. I travel from out of state, weekly, stayed at this motel, during a nation wide pandemic, hotel and motel industry reeling, and turned away. Manager tells me HER thoughts, that I was doing credit card backs, staying and after discharge, cancelled payments. Having been a regular since August, manager now informs me? What their financial department does is lock in credit and debit cards when making on line reservations, a very short window to cancel. If missed, payments auto locked even if I no show. Heartless, no flexibility as each day anew, any thing can occur. Changes must be expected now days, yet every one proclaim we are all in this together, yet dare try to cancel, then truth be revealed, all about business, THEIR bottom line. News flash, other motels in Newark....

If smoking weed is permitted, which apparently it is given that the outdoor and my room reeked of it, rooms should be set aside for pot smokers. The stench of pot is offense to many people. I immediately complained about the smell and they sent an old guy down with a bottle of spray and he doused the fabric surfaces. This helped for a while. The folk in the adjoining room smoked pot all evening and most of the night laughing, talking and playing music in the room and outside. I was tired after a long day of driving and got only intermittently sleep.
I see that other people left similar reviews. The only redeeming fact was that it is pet friendly. I resented having to sign a damage agreement for my very small and well-trained dog when the denizens of the hotel were the real animals.
Wyndham should send anonymous inspectors around to seedy hotels and take their franchise away.
I had to insist on a receipt for my pet deposit -- and ask for a receipt on check out.

Where to begin. First they messed up our reservation. We booked two rooms. One with a king bed and one with two queens. We called a week ahead to ask if our rooms could be close. We were told to call back the morning of our arrival. My adult kids were staying in one room and my husband and I in the other. When we got there they gave us two kings. No way to fit our family in those rooms. My husband asked for what we booked and we were told that we had asked for two kings and the hotel was full and nothing they could do. My husband took them a copy of the reservation showing we were correct and low and behold they had a room with two queens.
Floors are filthy and holes in carpet. Mold in the bathroom. One bathroom door had a huge hole. TV was unplugged. Lots of lights did not work. Breakfast area was HOT. The door to breakfast area/ reception was filthy.
Do not stay here. Rude people. Needs major updating and cleaning. Smells terrible.

Request a smoke-free room due to allergies plus a comfortable chair so the spouse could sleep sitting up which was promised but not provided. The bed had clean sheets, but the mattress was so hard my back hurt, no extra pillows nor a second blanket provided. The mini-frig ice maker was frozen over, the tub wasn't clean, couldn't find an ice machine, The hallway needed to be painted, there was no handicap space to park. The person at the desk spoke English but hard to understand. What a horrible and disappointing experience.

I stayed a few hours ( i left at 2am because it was so dirty) in this run down crap hole. Holes in the wall and broken lamp shades were the best part of this disaster. Black Mold growing in the bath tub, dirty shower broken microwave and so much more. This is the worst place I have ever stayed, and when you call to speak to someone, they hang up on you. I still have not spoken to the manager despite 8 phone calls with messages left. Whoever this mythical general manager named crystal is she sure as hell wont return a phone call. Never subject yourself or your family to this terrible garbage dump, quality inn should be ashamed of this crap hole

It is a total scam! They use your reservation to bargain with other guests to pay more by overselling the rooms. Do not waste your time trying to stay in this place! I booked my room and paid for it the day before. I drove 8 hours from North Carolina to stay in this hotel just to hear from the manager exactly 10 minutes before I arrived at the place (9:15) that they had overbooked the rooms and that they had cancelled my reservation. What a total lack of respect for the customers that are looking for a place to stay!

I’m usually pretty open minded when it comes to hotels and I don’t like to throw anybody under the bus, so to put it gently - this is not representative of the other quality inns I’ve stayed at. It’s pretty old and doesn’t appear to have been updated in a long time. There are stains on the furniture and bed spread. There is rust and dirt on the walls and door. The bathroom tub is brown on the bottom, presumably from age and wear and tear. I stayed here because I work per diem at Christiana hospital and live 90 minutes away. I usually stay at my sons but decided not to due to the holiday. I immediately regretted my decision to stay here and the clerk looked at me sympathetically when I asked to be above the first floor. I asked if I could shorten my stay to one night and was told that I couldn’t check out early without losing my money. I did not try to call and speak with a manager because I left for work prior to their arrival. I did ask my husband to come spend the night with me because I don’t feel safe here alone.
There are a lot of cars here so I am sure there are other people like myself who did not read the reviews and stayed here because it’s in the choice hotel brand. Honestly, choice hotels should drop this place. It’s not representative of their brand. Its really subpar. It’s in a great location for traveling but I will not stay here again. I just have to get through one more night.

I recently booked a room for my husband here and when he arrived at 9:30 PM they would not let him check in because I inadvertently made the reservation under my name and not his. The front desk attendant was rude and not at all helpful. He also said the place was under construction and the lobby smelled horrible (mildew) He was tired after a long day of travel and I told him to just leave and find a different hotel. I reached out to them for a refund which they would not issue even though he did not spend the night there.
