I had such a wonderful experience staying here! The location was fantastic, and everything was so clean and secure. The staff were incredibly professional and friendly, which made my stay even better.
I ended up here unexpectedly due to a flooding issue in my apartment, but I was grateful to find this place.
One of my favorite features was the ice machine—it was awesome! Definitely not one of those flimsy ones; I used it to fill Ziploc bags with ice for my cooler.
I also felt really safe with the private security patrolling the parking lot—it was reassuring to see them around.
The staff were super helpful in setting up their mobile app for me, which actually gave me a better discount than what I found on hotel.com. So handy!
The bed was just amazing—so comfortable! I had great nights of sleep during my stay. Plus, the desk setup was thoughtful, well-lit, and made it easy for me to work on my iPad for business.
The bathroom was spotless, with great hot water and fresh towels, which added to the overall cleanliness of the space.
I really appreciated being on the first floor; even though my window faced the parking lot, it was surprisingly quiet, allowing me to rest peacefully.
I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone looking for a nice stay. The price felt fair for everything it offered!

Best experience ever! During this time of the year it is hard for me but the staff reminded me what's it is like to have the people around you that care. The front desk associate Sri FD went above and beyond with his customer service! he was very nice, genuine, respectful, and always made sure if there was anything that I needed I never had to wait. The housekeeping staff was awesome! They made sure my room was spotless, everything worked, the best was soooo comfortable, and always made sure I had coffee! I was able to wash and dry my clothes also which was the best! If I could live there I would , but Ill definitely be back again to stay with them!

I love this place! It is VERY clean and the staff is always accomodating.
A little pricey if you go directly through the hotel. When I am on a budget I use Expedia and am able to save at least $10 - $15 per night.
Oh, they accept animals which is VERY important to me as I have a support cat.

This hotel is a joke to be honest the places has ROACHES!! the bathroom is nasty has mold growing multiple places on top of it the walls look like someone threw toilet paper to the ceiling and just left it there to dry and flake away the beds are hard pillows are ok but the service is terrible they treat you like your a peasant talk to you like a child and they have a rule no smoking in the room but don’t want you to smoke on patio and want you to walk 20ft away from the building to do so! The whole experience was really crazy to me and will never go here again!!! Needs new management new employees and DEFINITELY A REMOLDING!

If I could give a zero, I definitely would. It was a horrible experience. I booked a stay there at Red Roof Inn & suites to get away for the Thanksgiving holiday and there were bed bugs in my room. This was a big inconvenience and I was awakened out of my sleep in the middle of the night with bed bug bites and bed bugs crawling around in the bed. I had to come out of my pocket and pay $2 to dry everything in a dryer located in building 2 as if the whole bed bug situation has not already ruined my holiday stay and cost me enough. I have never in my life dealt with anything like it! I was mortified and I just wanted to be out of there. I cannot take a chance going to another room where there possibly may be more bed bugs, with that I had to leave and sleep in my car. I asked for a full refund and the gentleman in the office said he can only offer another room because the office manager was not in until 8:30am the next morning. I reached out to hotels.com and explained the situation. They reached out and was informed the offer manager is out until Tuesday now. I was told I would hear back Tuesday to see what the outcome was. I have not heard anything. At this point, I will be contacting the health department. That is unsanitary and they are very unprofessional in the office there. When I went to turn in my key cards, the gentleman accused me of telling hotels.com that bed bugs are in every room. I explained to the gentleman, I didn’t inform them every room has them, I can only account for room 105, and they could be in other rooms. I just couldn’t take that chance to find out. It was a terrible stay, and I should’ve received a full refund for the inconvenience.

This is by far the worst hotel there we have ever encountered. I would give this negative stars if possible. Our camping experiences have been cleaner than this place. We arrived around 11:30 pm and we were using it as a pit stop on a vacation. To start , the room smelled of mold, my daughter began coughing immediately. We encountered 5 bugs including cockroaches crawling on the wall, earwigs and a large bug flying around the room. The bathroom ceiling tiles were completely stained , one was so saturated and looked like it was going to collapse. One of the fluorescent bulbs was broken adding to the dismal ambience. The tub was equally disgusting. Stained furniture and carpeting added to the experience. We packed up very quickly and demanded a refund. Front desk was very accommodative and refunded me within a few days. The manager apologized and told me the room housed a long term resident. Absolutely no excuse! Unsafe conditions , should be condemned not available to the public.

The staff make this hotel memorable. They are courteous, friendly and go out of their way to make my stay comfortable. The room is always clean and the cleaning team is very focused on keeping the common areas clean. Of course there's always room for improvement. However, the Red Roof Inn Team at Newark, DE continues to make the push with great effect.

Avoid this dump unless you are really desperate. There was a stale smell in my room for my entire 2-day stay. When I complained, they brought some air freshener and sprayed. When I asked for the air freshener to be left in my room as the bad smell was pretty persistent, I was told that management would not allow this! In general, the staff are outwardly friendly, but they are singularly unhelpful.

My stay has lasted a few weeks during week days, it has been very quiet and the house keepers definitely do their best to satisfy. The real gem though is the front desk customer service. Especially the three ladies that are always friendly and extremely helpful. The manager of the front desks who's name is RJ deserves a raise because she treats everyone with respect and goes above and beyond for her guests. I will definitely stay again.

The place is the worst “hotel” in the area! To get started it is NOT PET Friendly as other red roofs. Our dog was denied for being a little over 40 pounds! Then to top it off the place is Infested with ROACHES!! And when I tried to address the management about it they were EXTREMELY RUDE & Demanded we leave without a refund!

Its quite possible as the management seemed more interested in profits than the customers comfort or concerns.
At the time of my stay (summer), they were doing some major construction. Perhaps this is a way they are covering costs?
There are more places to choose from in the Newark area.
