The hotel/resort is right off the highway, easily accessible with lots of grass and area to walk the dogs. It's situated alongside a corporate center.
The rooms are all suites. Comfortable size.
Comfortable bed.
Cleanliness for room..The first obvious noticeable layer of dirt marks was on the entry door. Layers of black, oily residue up and down the interior and exterior of the door left behind from skin on hands and fingers. After walking into the room, the smell of urine. While inspecting the carpet, urine stains and dired vomit stains were obviously visible..this is a Pet Friendly Room only one available.
I carry an air ionizer and viral disinfectant cleaner. Upon cleaning the oily human hand residue from the door.. "knuckle" impressions were revealed. A previous guest lost its temper and punched the door several times leaving the knuckle in-dentations. I cleaned up the dried vomit and dried urine stains as best as I could, covered them up w/ towels, plugged the air ionizer in then cleaned all the surfaces and high touch areas w/ same viral disinfectant. Left the room for several hours while the air ionizer cleaned the air. After a long tedious drive, I wanted to rest. But, that wasn't an option . A clean smell free room had become the priority.

I’m coming up on my 9th week stay, and I must say, everything about this place is very clean, peaceful and quiet. The entire staff stands out particularly one in particular...Mia. Mia is the Front desk attendant and I must say she is the epitome of what it means to be customer service oriented. The house cleaners too deserve a large portion of the credit, my room was consistently being serviced with toiletries, bedding etc. I really like this place especially the management team, they do an awesome job, from the “FREE” breakfast to the “FREE” dinner on Wednesday’s. I will see you guys again (soon),and this establishment will come highly recommended to friends and associates!

I normally don't write review unless I experience either superb or terrible experiences. Well, being in the hospitality industry for over 20 plus years, I must say that the experience of service at this location far exceed my expectations. The personality of everyone that I have come in contact with has been nothing short of amazing. A special commendation goes to Ms. Tasha , Front office manager and the remaining staff. Tasha has been the epitome of a hospitality manager and should be recognized for her attitude towards her guest. She continues to amaze my wife and I with how she provides such personalized service and makes our stays that much comfortable. The other front desk staff are just as pleasant and helpful, Tasha just stands out because whenever we are here we seem to be blessed with her being on duty. In the times we are living it's nice to have pleasant encounters with employees that love what they do and do it well. Hats of to you Tasha.

I had the Terrible experience of booking this hotel due to death in my family. The first Red Flag was having to come to the check In desk to get washcloths (if a person tells you their 4 adults and a child who’s 4 why would there only be 2 washcloths in the room). The second issue was a Dishwasher full of dirty dishes not to mention the smelly refrigerator (my 4 year old grandson said it smells). The third concern and to add insult to injury is if one person took a shower ALL the hot water was used mind you we are talking a 7 minute shower. We called the Desk to let them know as well as tell them that we were going to the viewing for my grandmother and needed to be there by a certain time the maintenance person called back finally after me making two calls to them about this problem, he asked if someone took a shower and if so we needed to wait 20 minutes for the water to warm up. We waited an hour still no Hot Water so we took ice cold showers. But we called again only for the person at the desk to ask didn’t he come??!? I explained NO then she said I’m sorry he just left. After I got upset explaining my reasoning for even staying there she said I’m sorry but there’s nothing I can do then she said well I can switch your room or let you shower in another room but you’ll have to come get the key??? Where’s the customer service. Finally the maintenance person called again and asked is your water hot now (this is over an hour later) only for me to say NO. He came ten minutes later said that he had to turn the water temperature up and that it was fixed only for us to have NO hot water after one person takes a shower again for the second day. Thank God we was checking out. Do not stay here. Spend your money at another hotel.

Outside/inside Dirty & run down. Looks like a campus of motels. Enter rooms from outside. Front desk told us they only clean rooms/replace toiletries every 7 days. Definitely DO NOT recommend!!!

I find it hard to understand why the reviews are so good for this place. We were in room 923 for two nights. Can't believe this is a 3 star hotel. This is awful!

Let’s just get straight to it. There was blood on the floor upstairs and on the shower curtain downstairs. There were roaches everywhere, ants on one of the night stands, and a dead cockroach in between two of the beds. There was a general unpleasant odor throughout the entire suite. There was a spider in the bathtub downstairs. Plus one of the ants crawled on my arm since the bed was right next to the night stand covered with ants. I’ve been to a 2 star hotel that was better than this. This is a 3 star one.

As apart of my job, I routinely place my clients into hotels last minute. I've worked with most of the hotels in Delaware, however, my experience with Tasha, the Front Desk Manager at Sonesta ES, was so wonderful that it is worth sharing. Tasha is kind, understanding, accomodating, very respectful of my client's privacy, and a delight to deal with. She addressed all of my questions and instead of saying "no," she took on a "can-do" attitude and found a way to help me. The Agency that I work for spends a large sum of money in hotel placement for our clients, and it is because of Tasha, that I will send as much business as I can her way.

This is an old former Residence Inn with individual buildings. Decent maintenance and clean. The bed was comfortable and the only beef was that the main lamp was unplugged from the receptacle underneath the sleeper sofa. Breakfast was OK with no major surprises. My big complaint was the traffic noise from I-95. If you stay here for a no-frills overnight do yourself a favor and insist on a room as far from the freeway as possible!

Booked through expedia looking for a place suitable for a family traveling from out of state for the holidays. Check in was great. The room, not so much. Smelled like smoke, carpet heavily stained, assorted hair on the bathroom floor, the oven looks like its never been cleaned, and a windowsill full of dead bugs. I was in the room for about 5 minutes and it kept getting worse.

Fortunately I had trip insurance so I was able to leave and cancel for a refund.

The room was very clean and smelled very nice. The beds were comfortable. Having two full bathrooms was great!

The seating was less than desirable...very uncomfortable. It would have been nice to have a coffee table and not a padded stool.

I may have missed it but I did not see where there was going to be a $5 fee to park. We checked into the room and, although the photo of the room I booked had a fireplace, ours did not. I was going to complain but it was pouring rain and we lugged our suitcase up to the second floor (no elevator).

The staff was very unfriendly. Nobody said hello or even gave a pleasant look.I could have overlooked some of the other problems if there was some pleasantries from the staff. When I checked out, I wasn't even asked how was my stay. I guess they probably didn't want to know.

Would I stay again? I definitely look at other properties in the area and if nothing else was available, I would.
