Great new hotel in the center of everything

We made a last-minute trip to the beach, and chose this hotel essentially because it was the only place with any availability. So we weren’t sure what to expect. But it was fantastic! The hotel is either brand new or newly remodeled. It wasn’t fancy by any means, but the room and bathroom were typical hotel-motel size, the furnishings were contemporary and tasteful, and the bed was comfortable. Housekeeping great and the room and public areas were spotless. The location is great if you want to be close to everything in town. All the staff we interacted with were super friendly and professional. Decent sized bar and restaurant in the lobby made it feel lively. Our room on the fourth floor even had a little view of the ocean in the distance. Our only complaint was that it was expensive for a relatively simple hotel/motel. But we booked a summer weekend at the last minute, so that’s probably our fault. We’ve stayed at other “fancier” hotels in Rehoboth, and liked this just as much. We’d definitely return.…

Nice, but not for families w kids, and you’d better have a small car.

The Coast Rehoboth was a nice enough place. I took my teenage son and his friend for a week at the beach. Although they say the distance from the hotel to the beach is only 2 blocks, those are 2 very long and busy blocks! We had our chairs and body boards and other basic beach stuff, but after the first day, we decided the walk was just TOO much. And we are in good health. So we drove the rest of the week and had to pay to park. Even then it was a bit of a haul to do multiple times a day. I wish we’d picked something closer to the beach. The website advertises breakfast, but that is not included. You eat in the restaurant and the menu is limited - more upscale and not really great for families with kids. You can, however, get free cucumber water during the day (until it runs out), and coffee in the mornings. The staff don’t seem eager to refill either. Our room was nice. It was clean and had two queen beds. The pillows were great. There is something funky they need to iron out about how the elevators work. You have to scan your keycard every time you want to take the elevator. If you forget your card, too bad. The worst part was the parking. The spaces are SMALL. People with trucks and larger SUVs had a terrible time parking. Some people couldn’t even park there and ended up parking at the convention center. I have a Hyundai Santa Fe, and I came home with scratches ALL over my doors and outside mirrors. Not just paint marks, but SCRATCHES. We were assigned a numbered parking space, but someone else was in it the whole time. As for the restaurant that’s attached, we ate dinner there the first night. The menu was VERY limited and too fancy for us. There was nothing for kids. No spaghetti, pizza, none of that. Also, the room is very small. My boys were excited to go to dinner there, but after they saw the menu, they were clearly disappointed. My teens didn’t want polenta and asparagus. Our room didn’t get cleaned very often. Maybe three times in six days. I asked for towels once and was told there weren’t any clean. No one ever brought us any towels. The swimming pool is upstairs. IMO it was cloudy green. Def NOT nice clear water. We had a good time, but for our purposes, we will probably choose a different place next summer.…
