In a quiet location in a traditional village (but no need for narrow switchback roads to get there), this is a beautifully renovated stone house. Furnishings are good, and the rooms a generous size. Beautifully clean and well-cared for. This is a small hotel and so there's no "desk" just a very interested owner who speaks multiple languages and lives...

My family and I were pleasantly surprised by the lovely rooms and the attractive bathrooms. Everything was clean and looked brand new, even though the Ca' Serafina has been operational for 14 years. We have stayed at Ca' Serafina twice, the first time in 2000 and the second time in 2003. Lodano is a beautiful old village in the Vallemaggia with wonderfully restored granite houses, a town square and a church in the Vallemaggia not far from Lucarno on the north end of Lago Maggorie. There is a river just down the road...
