Had a great overnight stay. Used both their bathhouse and laundry. Both were real nice. Shower, while only one in the women's, was large, had a seat and several hooks plus a heat lamp. Water press was great!
Laundry was inexpensive at $1.50/ load; machines appeared to be fairly new and they had 5 washers/5 dryers.
CG sits on the Gulf of Mexico and is conveniently located on US hwy 98
Staff is friendly and accommodating.
Nice gazebo area too. CG is gravel. But sites are pretty level. Dumpster is a bit far away but, I needed the walk

My husband and I just finished our week long stay with our two dogs. This is a quiet RV park. Exactly what we were looking for. Time to unwind from work and relax with a beautiful view and sunny weather. This is perfect for fishing and quiet days on a secluded beach.

The beach is not a swimming beach, but great for kayaking or paddle boarding which we did with our dogs. Staff was kind and accommodating. They were greeting guests or tidying spots for the next customer each day we were here.

IF swimming or park entertainment is what you desire you will not enjoy Ho Hum. We got the exact vacation we had in mind and have already booked two return trips.

My husband and I came here with our Travel Trailer and our friends came in a Class C RV. The oceanfront sites were very roomy and the sand at the park is immaculate. The park staff were friendly and helpful. Carabelle is a cute little town, with many other places to visit nearby. This park is a great value compared to prices at other "RV resorts". We loved fishing off the pier there, and caught a Flounder and a Redfish. We only stayed 2 nights, and will plan a longer stay in the future. There were many Class A RVs staying there for several weeks or months. Highly recommend this RV Park - instead of Ho Hum, we say "WOW!"

We arrived at Ho Hum to check in for 2 nights. When we arrived we we told that we must be self contained ie have a toilet and shower in our mini trailer which we don't have either of. The man proceeded to tell us well it was on the website which it was not as I reviewed the website and he said that it was because the bathhouse had been closed due to covid as the law stated that the bathhouse must be cleaned each hour and they did not have the staff to do this. He did say the website was a mess as the property had been sold recently to a new company and they will only cater to the class A motorhome in the future. They did allow us to stay as long as we used the bathhouse at our own risk. The bathhouse was clean and functional. There are no amenities at this park only a dock and a small section of beach. We stayed at the spots next to the highway and I could hear traffic but it did not bother me. It is close to Carrebelle where there are a few small groceries stores and a few rustic fish restaurants.

My husband and I stopped by to scope out this RV park so we parked and started walking. This man and woman come down speeding in their golf cart coming towards us. I see them and stopped figured they were management. And I thought to myself oh good, just who I wanted to talk to since I had questions. They started off by saying this is private property and you need to SLOW down even though they were going faster in their golf cart. We said we were looking for a place in the future and that my father owns a motorhome. We are scoping out different RV Parks along the water to see how the water is. Pictures don’t always look like they do in person. The man goes and says this is private property and you need to come into the office if we have questions, I said okay. I just wanted to see the water to see if it was even a nice spot. He then goes and says well we have cameras everywhere watching you, like we are some criminals or something. Then I hear him make a rude comment about the state we are from when he saw our license plate from our RENTAL CAR. Judgmental much? After seeing this place I wouldn’t stay not just for the rudeness from the “property managers” but it stunk like fish and the water was very dirty. There wasn’t much vegetation on the grounds just a lot of dirt. If we were treated decently I would have gone into their office for additional questions but their demeanor turned us off. They were not friendly to new faces who are curious about their place. If the owner reads this please know how your staff treats potential customers. I am a business owner and would not let my staff ever treat customers this way and I am sorry I even have to write this but I am open to the owners response.

I made a one-night reservation as a stopover on our way to Gulfport, MS. Hurricane Laura was headed right toward them so I immediately called (2 days in advance) and cancelled my reservation. They charged my account, and when I called to ask them to refund my deposit of $44.48, I was told they have a "No Refund" policy, not even in the event of an uncontrollable "Act of God". They're a pretty GREEDY bunch! Think twice about paying for advanced reservations. Obviously if there's a family emergency, national catastrophe, or you're on death's doorstep, YOU'RE NOT GONNA GET A REFUND!!!

Response from Danny Mulcahy, Owner at Ho-Hum RV Park
Responded 30 Aug 2020
Dear readers, In contrast to the complaint above, and even though we are very transparent about out cancellation policy, we do make concessions for acts of god and unfortunate events. We are a small rv park, wherein cancellations affect us greatly but when tropical storms or hurricanes hit our park(or are projected to) we do offer refunds. When this reservation was initially canceled, there was no prediction that the Laura would affect us but we still offered to move her reservation to anytime over the next year but the guest refused and was incredibly rude throughout. The event in question, hurricane Laura was never projected to get near Ho Hum (Gulfport is 300miles from Ho Hum)and ultimately didn’t effect Gulfport either. “ The fringes of Laura did bring bigger waves to the Mississippi coast and some minor flooding in low-lying areas, like the shores of the Jordan River. But in all, residents on the coast are grateful the large hurricane didn’t affect South Mississippi too much.” WLOX By Bill Snyder | August 27, 2020 at 1:49 PM CDT - Updated August 27 at 5:43 PM It’s unfortunate it came to this, the camp host make every effort to be accommodating to guest in need but apparently we can’t please everyone.

What a relaxing time we had while staying at Ho Hum. We had the perfect spot, closest to the pier. Got to talk to some interesting people as they passed by on their way to do a little fishing, watch the sunrise or watch the sunset. A dog friendly park, so we even made some 4 legged friends. Very, very clean, laid back kind of place. The camp hosts/manager were constantly doing some kind of work to keep the place clean & tidy. Restrooms & laundry room were clean as could be. We saw a great deal of sea life our 1st morning there.
A bonnet head shark, a stingray, dolphins & a manatee—our first day!! Further down the road, away from the park we were fortunate enough to see 2 bald eagles! Everyone was so friendly—but who wouldn’t be? Seeing as though the park sits in the bay area there’s not much of a beach, but a little area of sand with a couple of picnic tables & a swing. But for just a short drive down the road, either direction, there are some beautiful, tranquil, white sandy beaches for soaking up the sun & long walks on the beach. There a a few good restaurants a short drive down the road. But if you do a little crabbing & fishing off the pier then there’s no need for that restaurant.
I would definitely recommend & definitely will be back to Ho Hum RV Park—if not in Florida, maybe at one of their other locations throughout the U.S.
For a relaxing place to stay, away from all the craziness, this is the place to be. And be sure to check out their little store for your forgotten necessities or fun looking souvenir t-shirt.

Outside of Carrabelle on Florida’s Forgotten Coast is the Ho Hum RV Park. They don’t advertise any frills, because there aren’t any. But that won’t diminish your stay if you’re looking for a place to chill out and enjoy some beautiful Gulf sunrises. The staff is incredibly friendly and the facilities are clean. The laundry room has 4 sets of washer/driers. The shower rooms are small (one shower in women’s, two in men’s) but clean. They advertise that children are welcome but there isn’t much for them to do, so the RV’ers are mostly retired folks with lots of dogs. The park is small so it’s easy to meet your camping neighbors. For more excitement or to go out to eat, you’re close to Carrabelle, Apalachicola and St. George Island, all having plenty of restaurants and many cute shops in Apalachicola. We definitely recommend if you’re looking for a boho vibe and not your typical RV resort.

We were on our way through the area heading to our next destination when we began to have trouble with our motor home. We called and booked a night, the initial transaction was pleasant and we explained our plight and stated the fact that we would be pulling out in the morning. They put next to a camp host who’s dog barked most of the evening. The next morning we got ready to leave and we’re waiting for the engine to warm up, as we said earlier, we were having trouble with the rig, when the maintenance man came out and began to rush us, totally assnine and rude . In the midst of his rushing us, I wound up breaking the tail light in our Jeep and also caused some body damage.
I do not recommend this place and I will never set foot in there again. It was the rudest and most unprofessional place I have ever had the misfortune of visiting.
