I come here each year for fishing trips. The owner personally makes us a breakfast early to insure we make it to the dock on time. That is hospitality! A great stay. His French Toast is the best! There is a great little bar that I am sure Hemingway would have felt home in.

My wife and I stayed here on a recent trip around Florida, as a a history buff it did not disappoint, built in 1856 I believe the owner said, creaky floors wooden cases in the lobby, maybe no a/c, I looked around our room for a thermostat but did not find one so we opened the window and turned the...

Surprisingly we were trying to find a good restaurant in Cedar Key as we'd been disappointed in our first two tries. Had read mixed reviews on this restaurant but decided to give it a shot. The meal and service were fabulous. Had the Palm salad and shrimp & grits appetizers which were outstanding. Our entrees were the Stuffed fish and...

What a find - the hotel was built in the mid-1800's and is still attractive. The room was a delightful throwback to a time when travel was exotic. We enjoyed the porch and rockers as we watched folks go by. We ate breakfast and dinner at the restaurant. Service was wonderful and the food was excellent, in fact, it was...

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel built in 1859. Our room was attractive, and the mattress was comfortable. The en suite bathroom was small, but there was a table for toiletries and shelves nearby. We enjoyed the second-story porch with the big swing and rockers. It was the perfect place to read, nap, and watch passersby. It is close...

This is one of the old hotels that has been updated and is a very nice place to stay. They have a dining room with breakfast included and dinner at night. We stayed in room 36 which is on the second story by the balcony. This room has a bathroom with shower in the room which is fairly small but...

Really unique old hotel with a lovely dark wood bar area that locals love. Everyone so friendly and we will be back. They have rooms there as well upstairs with a large balcony overlooking the town. Understand the food is excellent as well.

Historic hotel with lovely antiques. Room was very clean and comfortable. Walls are paperthin but noise quits by 10pm. Reports of ghosts seem to be true. Huge porch complete with swing & comfy chairs. Breakfast is included with your stay and was very good. Staff was very friendly and most helpful. It's the type of place where you end up...

The Island Hotel is essentially an over-the-top B&B and restaurant in a laid back little fishing village, Cedar Key, on the west coast of Florida. The rooms are nice with a full sized breakfast included. The restaurant is spacious, well appointed, with a great menu. The bar is a gathering place for visitors and locals alike and you'll run into...
