This hotel is well situated for trips to Clearwater and Tamper bay for families visiting the area. The rooms are clean and well equipped with microwave and fridge. The beds are comfy and air conditioning excellent. The rooms have a safety deposit box and decent storage. The bathrooms are good and shower excellent. The hotel advertises free wifi... it's the...

Very nice for the the price. The building is old but is kept up well. Staff was extremely friendly. Breakfast was good. Our kids loved the pool and found other kids to play with. It was spring break so there were lots college age kids around too but that was okay with us. The downside was I thought the beds...

Don't believe all the negative reviews- people like to complain for $50 and expect the Ritz. This simply is a simple but clean motel that has a good family vibe. Kind of like a bed and breakfast / down home feel. The Magnuson has had several renovations and is visibly active in maintaining its site - we saw landscapers, electricians,...

If you want to stay in a motel from 1986, you can't do any better than this one. It was nice but needs a renovation but I doubt it will get done as the location is too far from all the major attractions. The bed was comfortable, the water was hot, and the air conditioner did its job so I...

Thank you for the review, yes we are old but are always working very hard to improve the property inside and out. We have just add a lot of lights out side to keep out unwanted. We also have some at front desk 24-7. We walk property all the time day and night. Thank you for letting us know we...

Overall: regardless of the name, this is a motel, not a hotel. Great for the price. (I paid $50 a night from hotwire) Pros: Great location-close to any kind of food you could want. 15 minutes from Clearwater beach. Next to highway to get to Tampa easily. Staff-very nice. Some reviews said otherwise, but I think they just don't understand...

We had to switch rooms because our room was so disgusting!! Our new room was cleaner, but still gross. Staff wasn't friendly or helpful and refused to give us any kind of discount. Everything that could go wrong did!

My wife and I gave this place a try because it was close to the Philadelphia Phillies spring training complex. We entered our room to find the refrigerator was not working. The cause was the freezer needed to be thawed out. We resolved that problem ourselves. Other problems included no tables or desks, and one chair. There was no telephone...

I am truly sorry for the problems that occurred while staying with us. We are a older hotel but work very hard at keeping it up and keeping are customers happy. We have just painted inside and out. New furniture however the desk and chairs have not yet arrived (again I apologize). We have purchased new lighting for the outside of...

The hotel is older although it looks like they have made many improvements. The beds were comfortable and the inside of the room met basic needs. The continental breakfast was sufficient. Staff was very helpful with our questions about the area. Housekeeping staff very helpful as well. If you are looking for a place to stay for a reasonable price...

I have to admit when we 1st pulled up to this hotel I thought oh boy what did I do. The place did not look very good from the outside. It looks like a standard ran down motel. But the room was clean. The bed was just ok. We had just spent 4 days at the RIU Plaza hotel in...

Average hotel with clean wood floors, updated pool, but loud and hostel like. Very economical for short stay, wouldn't recommend much longer. Staff yelling down hallways early in the morning and in desk reception area. Close for spring training and beach access on a budget!
