My wife and I came into town not really knowing what to expect from the massive array of Beach and Golf resorts and associated guest room accommodations available at Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort. Having stayed at both the HGV hotel by the Baytown Marina and the Elation condo building next to the Grand Sandestin complex (adjacent to Baytown Wharf and Shoppes) I can now tell you that golf and beach are the best parts of this resort, there are great walking paths along the Burnt Pine 🌲 golf course the Fairmont Heritage resort and the Toscana villas and Subdivision BUT the beach is a shuttle ride across the street from these beautiful bayside resort s and the highway 🛣️ in between is too busy to walk across. The Destin (full service) Hilton and Beach house bar and grill or Serenity Condo complex are right on the beach. Every restaurant in town has the same tire dried out frozen Mahi and Coconut shrimp 🍤 and most guest rooms do not have a kitchen.
