Exquisite boutique accommodation in a beautiful setting. The adults only atmosphere of the Inn enhanced the tranquility. While the oversized deck which faced the ocean had rocking chairs, tables and a porch swing. It was the perfect place to ocean gaze, journal, or enjoy a meal. On two consecutive days a school of dolphins played up and down the coast in front of our room. While the dolphins were best viewed from the balcony, they could be seen from the deck and the ocean front. The room contained quality bedding and fluffy pillows. A complimentary Starbucks coffee bar with candy, snacks, and muffins made us feel at home. Did I mention they baked cookies daily?

Yes, the rooms need to be renovated, but we stayed at the Watercolor after this which had beautifully renovated rooms and still liked the Henderson Inn experience better. We liked the small boutique feel of the Henderson Park Inn and its amazing beachfront location, while still being able to use the pools and restaurants of the Henderson Resort across the street. The Inn has a lot going for it: great staff, free snacks and beverages in the lobby, a cooler in the room to bring to the beach, great beach chair service and a very social atmosphere with the other guests. I would come back here.

Very disappointed for the prices charged. Nothing was explained at check-in. No bell hop service with luggage carts, used a laundry basket. Had to change rooms because the carpet was ripped and lumpy. Toilet was too close to the bathtub and too far away from the toilet paper. Lunch is only served outside in the heat, no dining room service at this location. The room should never have been available for guests, it needed a complete make over.

We thoroughly enjoyed our long weekend at Henderson Park Inn.
The hospitality was impeccable, from check in to check out. Upon entering our room we were greeted with a tray containing a rose, chocolate truffles, and a bottle of wine - how nice!
Our room was specious, impeccably clean, and contained everything we needed, including a courtesy cooler so that we could take drinks and snacks to the beach if we wanted.
I have included pictures so that you can see for yourself that “dated” is a fair assessment of the room decor, but the cleanliness and amenities more than made up for this.
The coffee, snacks and happy hour were bonuses that we enjoyed through your stay. No parking fee with dedicated onsite parking was a very nice touch - sometimes it is the little things that really make you feel welcome.
Dinner at The Beach Walk was delicious and our service was fantastic.
We would not hesitate to stay here again and hope we get to return soon.

The staff is extraordinary. They truly make you feel special and cared for. Mary hand delivered our room keys to us while we were eating lunch on the porch and was genuinely pleasant to talk with the entire trip. Mike dried off a table and chairs and found 2 dry cushions after a downpour so my Mom and I could eat Mothers Day dinner on the porch. Robert was such a hard worker, serving guests from around 7 am 11:00 pm. and always with a good attitude. Chef Alan gave us hugs at the end and even helped us bring some of our luggage down so we wouldn’t have to wait for service. The people at this Inn made us feel like royalty. You are all so special, thank you.

The Henderson Park Inn is a jewel in the heart of Destin. The property itself is beautiful and well-maintained, and the section of beach it sits on is simply stunning (white sand and emerald waters). They definitely pay attention to the details at this wonderful place, as well. Beach towels are provided, and there is daily beach chair/umbrella set-up for all guests. Fun snacks and drinks are available for you (a cooler is provided in your room) as you head out the door to enjoy a beach day. Yummy cookies await you in the lobby for a daily treat. Bikes can be checked out... The Cantina on-site (lower deck) allows you to easily enjoy a delicious lunch as you walk straight up from the beach. I could go on and on. It's in the details, and Henderson Park Inn has nailed it. We look forward to our next stay!

My wife and I have been staying at this quaint little B&B by the sea for almost a decade! Sometimes two or three times a year! We love that it's a part of the national forest making it very much secluded compared to other parts of 30A, but also so close to all of the best restaurants and night life you could ask for! Their restaurant, the BeachWalk Cafe is outstanding as well. So one day for us, is roll out of bed, walk 150ft to the beach, sit out on their provided chairs, order lunch and drinks from their beach cantina, stay out on the beach all day! Then after 8-10 hours of beachin' it, stagger back up to our room 150ft away, clean up and enjoy their incredible restaurant after their happy hour outside on their patio from 330-430 daily! This is our favorite thing because we don't have to leave our 40 room paradise on the beach! They provide everything you could ever want or need in terms of snacks, coolers, sodas and water, all you need to provide is your rear end and sunscreen! So I suggest booking a week and going to check this place out because it's a great adults only get away that doesn't feel like anything else you've ever experienced on Florida's pan handle!

This was our third, and likely last time at The Henderson. We can no longer justify paying over $700 a night to have amenities continue to be taken away. The first time we came free airport transportation, breakfast, and a boxed lunch from an ares restaurant were included in the price. The second time we visited airport transportation was no longer included and this, the third and final time breakfast and lunch were no longer included. This time, because we booked prior to breakfast and lunch being taken away as an amenity we did receive $100 a day credit which could be used at either Henderson location on food and alcohol. Be clear that this only happened because we booked prior to it being taken away. Contrary to what other reviewers have said, this is NOT standard going forward. You will NOT receive this credit if you booked after the change. This is so disappointing. The charge for the room is outrageous but we didn't mind paying it with all the amenities - well worth the price had everything had been included. I can't help but wonder how much breakfast and lunch actually cost - not the inflated prices that are charged - but real prices. I find it hard to believe that it costs too too much to provide a simple breakfast and sandwich lunch. What are you going to take away next Henderson? The beach chairs? That's the last remaining amenity of value.
Also this trip there were children that made their way on the private beach. While we like children, we trusted that adults only meant adults only.
On the positive Blake, the beach attendant is incredible. He is nice young man and very hard worker. His service was excellent.
We found the staff to all be kind and welcoming. Thank you for the nice customer service.

Wow! What an amazing place! The rooms were beautiful and comfortable-it felt like we were staying in a beautiful friend’s beautiful home. The outside bar every afternoon beginning at 3:30 was so much fun and the drinks made by Roger were great! The service was impeccable from chairs and umbrella set up for us, to the drink and food that was delivered to us on the beach. The evenings by the fire pit drinking wine was a highlight of ours. The added benefit of being able to go to the Henderson resort’s adult pool merely steps away was another wonderful experience. Destin has crystal clear water and the sand is like sugar. We love the Henderson Inn also because it was well away from the busy other end of Destin.

Correct, breakfast lunch no longer included in room rate. Still excellent breakfast and larger selection for lunch. No other significant recent changes- still great staff and gulf view.
I expect you will have to call the hotel to get this information on the specific room type you’re considering. For what it’s worth, we stayed in an Executive Suite and it was spacious - more so than you can tell from the pictures on the website.
There are more places to choose from in the Destin area.
