Bed & Breakfast with no Breakfast, no Spa & No Customer Service. We were due to arrive between 16:00 & 18:00, we arrived around 17:30 and as we approached the front door the lady saw us with cases and then walked away saying nothing. Once I got her attention we introduced ourselves and was greeted with "I have been waiting...

Nothing has changed since the poor reviews from 2014, which we sadly didn't read. No welcome staff, room wasn't ready, cash upfront, no wifi, no breakfast (the awesome bank vault door with the 'breakfast room' sign opens up to a tiny storage room that looks like it hasn't been cleaned since the last hurricane), the microwave and toaster in the...

We were disappointed by our visit because this place could really be special. Our room, and the rest of the interior, was charming, clean, quiet, and comfortable. However, the entrance by way of the back door into the paint peeling stairway is off putting and not helped by the substitute clerk (the maid?) who was clearly doing us a favor...

The lodging is quite unique, and comfortable, and 20 steps up the stairs to a step back in time.I wonder as to the usage of this seemingly vast second level.Today there is no Bank, lawyer,or doctors in this "supposed" city.It is really a village on the Northern tip of the Everglades.

What a beautiful building, my family & I stayed for 2 nights & loved every bit of our time there, we were greeted by Marylynn who took us to our very large room down stairs, it was very clean, it felt like we were back in time! We will be returning to this bed & breakfast & highly recommend staying...

I will be talking about this trip for years. How often do you get transported to the 1920's? It is definitely a different kind of getaway. It was very cool for about one day. We enjoyed being transported and the room was clean, however the room was missing several basic amenities such as soap, hair dryer, working TV. You also...

When we got here two nights ago, at first it was cool-looking and old-timey, if a bit pricy. When going into the room I noticed a few tiny sugar ants in the bathroom and thought it was just a few stragglers so I crushed them and finished unpacking. I then learned there is no breakfast that would be served, just...

We stayed here on the Friday night of the recent Everglades City Seafood Festival. We had booked last minute on the strength of a couple of promising reviews after being unable to get into the local Motel. We had been led to believe that the hotel was fully booked but one room was available for the Friday night only. When...

As someone who travels professionally I never write a review unless it is truly unique and offers a incredible experience. This B@B is romantic glorious revival of a 1920 era of a South Florida retreat and playground of the super rich. Lovingly restored spotless and filled with period antiques relax a soak in a claw tub bath sip champange then...

Busy holiday season! Traveled to experience the fast pace in the big city and needed to decompress where it's quiet and no hubbub or people pushing me to eat fast so they can turn over a table to another tourist. I love the bed and breakfast for that reason. It's close to our home and easy to get to. We...
