The Hoyt House is a perfect location if visiting the charming town of Fernandina Beach on Amelia Island. The historic and charming inn is a lovely place to call home for a few days, The new owners, Tracey and Rick were delightful, their personalities and welcoming smile make you feel at home. The cocktail hour was a nice surprise and... More

We just returned from a week on Amelia Island. Our lodging preference has always been small inns and B&Bs as opposed to large hotels. Well, our stay at Hoyt House confirmed the wisdom of our preference. When we arrived we were greeted by the owners and were concerned to find out that they were new owners and not the person... An English teacher long ago told me that something cannot be more or less perfect. If it is perfect, it is perfect! And the Hoyt House is perfect. The building itself is beautiful with comfortable bedrooms and baths. Top-of-the-line toiletries. We sat outside by the beautiful pool and used the hot tub, typically not found in a B&B. The innkeepers... More

We spent our anniversary at the historic Hoyt House, and we were very pleased with our stay. Happily, there’s a nice little parking lot – with a charging station - behind the house. Access to the house from the parking lot makes coming and going easy, after initial check-in at the front door. As we stepped into the house, we... More

Great place to stay! Location was pretty central to everything. They had bikes available, which provided the opportunity to leisurely tour the historic houses, then rode a little over a mile to Clinch State Park. A very scenic path, complete with a full tree canopy and a fort that was interesting to tour. They also had everything you could need... More

Our stay that the Hoyt House far exceeded our expectations. We fell in love with this gorgeous, warm and inviting home and will surely return. We've stayed at the Hoyt House several times and always have a great experience. This time we took our dog, and though we could not get our usual room, we were able to get into a different room for the three-night stay. The hotel and the amenities were as old-Florida as ever, the pool and hot tub were great as... More

The bed and breakfast was wonderful. The rooms were very nice and the breakfast was delicious. I especially liked the pool and the hot tub. I also enjoyed the bar which served s complimentary cocktail each afternoon. It was also the perfect location to walk to all of the great restaurants in the area. It was only a quick drive... More

We are frequent visitors to Amelia Island, and this was our fourth bed & breakfast stay on the island. While this will not rank as my favorite b & b on the island, I would not hesitate to stay here again in a minute. The room was as advertised, and the inn was clean and well-maintained. The towels in the... More

We drove up from nearby Jacksonville to celebrate my husband's birthday. He doesn't like to be doted upon, but he really enjoyed our stay. I'm originally from New Orleans, so I love visiting a historic home. We've stayed at several bed and breakfast properties over the years, but Hoyt House is our new favorite. Location: It is perfectly situated, allowing... More
