You feel like you've gone back in time when you enter the lobby, or should I say, the office. Door doesnt shut easy, must slame it. Was expecting a dump of a room due to the outside looks... was surprised on how clean it was, including the bathroon. All and all, quick place to catch some zzzzz, but not for... More

When my family and I went to take a trip to Ft. Lauderdale, Lafayette Motel seemed like an approachable and affordable idea. They marketed themselves as a family-friendly place with clean facilities and stunning architecture. However, the reality of it was far different. My advice is DO NOT COME HERE EVER. We had made a reservation previous to coming here,... More

I am sitting here wondering what experiences some people have had in their lives to find any positive comments about this place? Maybe its people being overly optimistic, perhaps alcohol helped, maybe they are vision impaired...not sure but its really confusing and contradictory of REALITY! I was going to post a slew of nasty pictures myself, but the pics already... More

You are better off sleeping at the beach rather than trying to spend the night here. Horrible rooms, smelly beds, awful bathrooms, shady guests, I can go on and on. Please stay away from this place and someone please tear this place down. This has got to be the worst hotel I've ever been. The only good thing is that... More

Stayed for one night on route from Orlando to Key Largo. Allocated a room on the third floor, so we had a (limited) sea view. I booked this hotel because it was cheap, therefore I did not expect the Ritz. My findings are:- Undercover car parking. (Good) Charming staff. (Good) Very handy for a fabulous beach. (Good) Room was more... More

Well.. It was fairly inexpensive.. Lots of noise from construction in front of it with condos being built. It wasn't terribly " dirty" but very outdated. Shower was cold and wouldn't warm up. It is in decent location as far as close to beach, only couple minutes walk and about a five minute drive to restaurants

You get what you paid for. Rooms a little dated, but clean. We enjoyed our stay there. Best price for a room by the beach. Will probably stay there again. Motel staff courteous and helpful. Just down the street from the Sun Tower Hotel. They have a great restaurant and bar on the water. Food was reasonably priced.

My best friend & I came for a last minute girls trip in late February. We were iffy due to the wide variety of reviews. But, we pretty much had no other choice. We arrived after midnight & the staff was very friendly. Check in went quick & they were very helpful. The room is a pretty typical motel room... More

Good value for money. Certainly not the Marriott but nowhere near the price. Older and off beaten path. Staff very nice and helpful. Hotel shows its age. Beds comfortable. Nice pool. Close to beach. Free parking.
