I have been staying at Silver Sands Villas for many years. I visit frequently because of the awesome staff, the convenience of the property, and the all around atmosphere. It is casual and in close proximity to all that the beach offers. The units are...More
My husband and I have stayed here many times. It is like our home away from home. Love that we can bring our dogs and that they are very pet friendly. I love the convenience of being just steps away from the beach, restaurants and...More
We cannot wait for our annual visit to Silver Sands. Andrea, Mike , Kim and Dawn always make us very welcome and we now consider them good friends. The villas are clean, comfortable and have everything for a wonderful stay. The gardens are very well...More
Another couple, my husband and I visited over a long weekend in February. This is a small quaint place. The pool is heated. We met lots of people enjoying the warm Florida weather. We stayed in a room. I might add that we booked late...More
We stayed in 10 B, the Kings Helmet room, which included two bedrooms and a kitchen and a sitting area. The accommodations were good. The condition of the building was good. Is a little bit old but nicely kept. The location was absolutely fantastic! I...More

Sorry, just saw this. Unit 21 is a studio on the lower level in the main building. It has a king bed, a love seat and bench. A Stand up shower in the bathroom, coffee pot, microwave and as medium size refrigerator. Around the corner from the pool. Please visit our website for more photos and a map of the property. There is also a virtual tour option on trip advisor and our site . Hope this helps

It's a 2 room cottage. The front room has a small kitchen (stove, full size fridge, coffee maker, sink, 2 seater table). Across from kitchen is a couch (looks relatively new). To the side is a flat screen TV and chair. The back room, with door, has a queen size bed (I think it has a newer mattress) with drawers and a small closet. The air conditioner is built into the wall in the front room. There is a fan in the bedroom closet so I guess that is used to bring the cool air into the bedroom if needed. The bathroom is good size for a small cottage. Shower is good. There is a big sliding door in the front which can be opened for a good breeze. Couple chairs out on front porch facing the pool. Parking - one car reserved space right beside cottage on side street. We were there for a couple days and the only complaint my husband had was that there was no tv in the bedroom. But he did move the one over so he could see from the bed. There is no daily maid service, you change out your own towels in the guest service room. Not a big deal to us - we were only there a couple days. There was a dust pan but no broom - so they probably have simple cleaning items available if needed. Cottage looked like it had been updated not too long ago. We'd stay again.

I am very familiar with Ft. Myers Beach, and Sanibel Island. I just recently stayed at the Silver Sands for the first time. Its a great place to stay!!! Sanibel is about 15 min. From Ft. Myers beach. Even with the seasonal traffic. On the way back, you might be looking at an hour depending on traffic heading to the beach. The Sanibel bridge has a $6-7 toll. Remember to take beach shoes. Sanibel beach, because of all the shells is hard to walk on. When you get over the Sanibel bridges you will come to a 4 way stop intersection. Make a left and follow the road all the way down to the public beach. You'll have to pay a couple dollars to park. There you will find the public beach, fishing pier, and the Sanibel light house!! There are great places to eat on Sanibel. But remember Sanibel has only two lanes of traffic. One going in, one going out. So traffic can really back up if you want to explore the rest of the island. Check the tide schedule. You'll want to go shelling at low tide. There is also a shell museum on Sanibel. Also Ding Darling Nature Preserve which I recommend if you'd like to see the best of Fla birds and nature while driving through the preserve. (The gators are almost at the end)! So make a day of it, happy shelling!!!!!

"I would stay away from #1 because it's small and connected to a Hotdog House so it's a little noisy."
