Diamond Head is doing their best to repair damage due to the storm. It was a little isolated, which made it nice, but was within walking distance of restaurants and shops. When we arrived the resort was having a problem with their generator… our room was extremely noisy and there was black soot on the balcony furniture and floor. We couldn’t stay in the room under those conditions so we went to the front desk and Michael took good care of getting us in an acceptable room. After getting settled in we enjoyed the pool and had something to eat in the restaurant. All waiters and bartenders were excellent. There was coffee available but no breakfast. We walked to food trucks for breakfast. It would have been nice to have breakfast in the hotel. The area is still not great from the storm.

I was so happy to be back on Fort Myers Beach at the Diamondhead Beach Resort! With all the devastation that this area has sustained, they have done an excellent job of coming back and getting ready for beach dwellers. The pool was great, food and bar back to standard and they even gave us a list of other places on the beach that were open. Going back in two months to do it again.

We wrote a review based upon our experience with poor communications from DiamondHead. We have received a refund and appreciate their communications, albeit belated. Again, it is a lovely resort and will be a great place to visit once it is restored to full operations. Thank you to the DiamondHead management for being responsive to our concerns. Love to Ft. Myers Beach as it recovers!

A beautiful resort currently in the process of recovering from hurricane recovery; however, customer service advised us BEFORE making our reservation that they were fully operational and encouraged us to visit prior to our 4 pm check- in to enjoy all the amenities. After check-in we left to visit friends in the area and, upon return late that evening, found a notice stuck in the door that the water would be turned off from 10pm to 5am! Too late for showers that evening as water was already shutoff; arose at 5:30 am anticipating a shower, but the water was still shutoff! Called the front desk and was told that it would remain off until 7 am. A time share owner at Diamondhead shared with us that they had received notice in the mail days prior to the shutoff that water would not be available. At no time were we informed of this impending shutoff.....So, no shower, no complimentary bottles of water to help, no toiletries in the in room and an inoperable microwave! On website, management posted that potential construction noise would occur from 8 am to 5 pm. Instead, we heard the wheels of construction skids being moved in the hallway above us ALL NIGHT LONG! Lastly, became stuck in on of the elevators in the back of the complex. Construction engineer assisted us to depart elevator. Personally spoke with CSR at front desk to have Manager contact us and requested cost of room adjustment. To date, no communications from Diamondhead! Good, honest communications from DH could have negated much of this experience.

Ww stayed here for 1 night, and I am glad I didn't book longer. Our 1st impression wasn't great, with unfriendly hotel staff in the parking area as we pulled up, we were confused with all the commotion and just asked a question for direction, before being snapped at and waved away. Checkin was just ok, going thru the motions. The elevators are a long wait each time you need them. No good signage or anything to help you figure out how to get to beach or pool. Beach access is a long walk around the parking lot. The bed is the most uncomfortable thing we've had on our 2 week roadtrip so far. It is hard and the bedding is scratchy and uncomfortable and the pillowsare flatt and sad. There is hardly any plug-ins in the room and the ac makes a ton of noise. The pool is open very few hours, from 8am to dusk, which was around 5pm. The beach is beautiful, but this place is not worth the price. I am already sore from laying on the bed a short while.

We have been coming to Fort Myers Beach since 2008. We love the area and have friends that live nearby. We were saddened to here the devastating storm of Ian. We are optimistic about the new and upcoming things and buildings to come to the island in the future including Mageritaville!

This dude sitting for chair rentals should pick up the beach. Trash bag & gloves. 10 minutes. They 've done a good job getting the building going but main reason I came is for the beach. And I'm not going to walk over dead things to go swimming.

This was my 10th trip coming for to DiamondHead, a place we consider our second home. Last year we were there 3 weeks before hurricane Ian hit, and this year we were there for the 1 year anniversary. While things maybe different, they are still perfect. We were so happy to see staff that we knew, and proud of the work they have all put in to repair and improve, making the resort and experience always an amazing and awesome time!!! ♥️

Booker beware! This hotel is NOT ready to be booking rooms. Construction went on 12 hours a day directly above our heads. Began at 7:45 AM all three days of our trip, including Saturday and Sunday. I’m sure it was a lovely place before Hurricane Ian, but it is NOT back and needs at least 6 more months of rehabilitation. A total waste of money and time.
