The hotel was clean, large rooms, and beachfront view/ balcony was stunningly beautiful. The beach was kept clean by the local municipality, there was little to no kelp or seaweed in the sand. Loved being beachfront because the breeze took the sting out of the sun’s hot rays. It wasn’t crowded, plenty of room to relax on the beach or at the pool. A special call-out to the Food & Beverage team, they were an amazing bunch and made our visit a joy. Ashley served every breakfast with a smile and we were given generous portions at a very fair price. Also, the bar staff - Jo, Kori and Luke in particular took care of us, making us feel welcome and appreciated. Drinks were well made, food was hot and tasty and they helped us navigate the local scene. This team was the best group of people and we appreciate meeting them.

Our stay at the Hilton Garden Inn was wonderful. The staff was friendly, the room was clean, the pool and Tiki Hut was amazing! We stayed for the week and enjoyed every minute. Very short walk to the beautiful blue-green Gulf waters and the fireworks with the full moon in the background was very cool.

The hotel is right on the beach with amazing views. We booked 2 rooms at separate times and when I called the front desk and spoke to Daniel asking if we could have rooms at least on the same floor he went above and beyond to upgrade our rooms so we could be next to each other. My daughter’s room (524) had a king size bed and a little cubby with bunk beds, perfect for her teenage daughter and her friend! We both had balconies overlooking the pool and ocean and it was spectacular! The rooms were comfortable with great pillows, nice bed linens and plenty of USB ports on lamps to charge your electronics. They had a mini fridge, Keurig coffee maker with pods and a microwave. The bathrooms were large and they provided full size bottles of shampoo, conditioner and body wash in the showers and full size lotion on vanity. They have a restaurant and bar on site which is good.
The absolute best thing about this hotel is the staff! Daniel was so friendly and even had cookies, milk, chocolate covered strawberries and a birthday card when he found out it was my granddaughters 14th birthday waiting in our room when we checked in! So thoughtful!!! I can’t remember the name of all the employees that were so helpful and so friendly but everyone went out of their way to provide excellent customer service! I hope Hilton and the Manager of this hotel realize what excellent employees they have!
The only downside of this hotel is they are doing road construction right in front of the hotel but it did not take away from our excellent stay.

This place is going downhill fast. I am so disappointed with this hotel, last time I stayed I was told my room was not serviced because of so many people were checking in. I decided to give it another try because of its proximity to the beach. This place feels dirty, poorly maintained with dirty pools and the room I am in smells like dog and looks run down. To further add to my dissatisfaction they no longer offer shower gel. I was told by the front desk that they had removed the shower gel several months ago. I can’t imagine paying a premium price for a room that doesn’t even offer shower gel. I have stayed in many other places 1/3 the price with shower gel readily available. The restaurant food quality is below average and expensive for the poor quality they also charge $10 for parking. This place is just average but you will pay a premium for staying there.

We had many problems at this hotel. No services, no breakfast, shuttle, room service, toiletries, they didn't even have water in the room. 4 people only towels for 2, this is a time share location so if you go there just paying out of your pocket you gets nothing. 498.75 a night with nothing included is outrageous.

The hotel itself is lovely and the pool and activities for families made the steep price tag worth it. Honestly, it would have been a 9-10 if their cleaning practices weren't so frugal and dismissive. I found it kind of disgusting that they only offered cleaning once during our stay, but then only gave us one option as to which day we could even have our room cleaned...which ended up being around 4pm the evening before we departed--gross. Why even clean at that point? I understand hotels may not need to clean rooms everyday, and I truly don't need my room cleaned everyday, but to dictate when our room is cleaned and to not provide options for guests or listen to their needs, is just wrong and poor customer service. I understand that Hilton is trying to save money, but in light of Covid and everything else, shouldn't they be spending more on hygienic care and cleaning, not less? It really turned me off and made me think of what other cleaning corners Hilton is trying to cut? We also found ourselves having to use dirty towels, snag toilet paper from the housekeepers carts and just things a gust should never have to do when spending $500 a night at a hotel. I'd truly have to think twice about staying here again for these reasons.

I wasn’t aware that hotel didn’t provide room cleaning service. We stayed three nights and had to ask fir towels, toilet paper, soap, shampoo, coffee, etc.
After complaining, was told that this is their practice and that they did inform me during the check-in. Don’t recall that but whats the point when you cant reimburse or make alternative arrangements.
This information should have been posted in website. “We are Hilton but behave like extended stay type facilities but we do charge you $600 per night (tax + breakfast included).”
If a customer knows the above information then he can decide for the appropriate lodging option among the many in this area.
By the way, I am Diamond member with Hilton for more than 5-6 years now and familiar with the infrequent room cleaning service approach, not for three nights though and not for a $600/night accommodation.

If you expect daily housekeeping- go elsewhere! When I’m paying $423 a night I expect my room to be cleaned daily. I stayed at a hotel just down the way and paid less last summer and had my room cleaned daily. Food at the restaurant was inconsistent. One day we got carrots and celery with wings the next day nothing. This place is apparently franchise owned that’s why management sucks. Someone needs to hire more staff or charge customers less per night. I won’t be coming back. I just don’t like sandy rooms being uncleaned. Corporate should definitely pay attention when the name Hilton is attached.

We stayed at Hilton Garden Inn from July 14-16 as part of a Make a Wish trip for my son to visit Eglin AFB. We arrived 4 hours before check in. I overheard the front desk tell someone before me they were sold out the night before so I knew the chances of us getting into a room right away were slim. The front desk was so pleasant. Our son is in a wheelchair, we had to get him up at 3 am for a flight, and it was a very long day of traveling. It was very obvious that we were all hanging on by a thin thread. The front desk recognized this right away, one person offered water for my son, the person helping us made every effort to get us in a room quickly, and we only had to wait 5 minutes at most. And our room was amazing!!! Ocean view, balcony, clean, comfortable beds, it was perfect.
Our stay just got better from there. The tiki bar was perfect for my husband and I when we were able to get away for a bit. The bartender remembered our names. Housekeeping checked in on us every day via text to make sure we were satisfied. We received cookies and a fruit tray in our room because we were special guests. The food at the pool bar was great. The beach is stunning. I only wish we could stay longer.
I never leave reviews-even if I’m unhappy with service. But this vacation is very important to us and I’m so grateful to Hilton Garden Inn for making it as amazing as possible.

I would like to thank Shevahn for her great tour of the hotel as my wife and I were visiting the Fort Walton area for the first time. Shevahn was quite passionate about explaining to us why we needed to stay at the Garden Inn to receive the best Gulf experience. The front desk support was always attentive, courteous and informative. I sought information regarding room credits, parking, billing, pool towels, business office location, printer accesssibility, and other sundry items. Shevahn is the type of individual you always hope to meet at the front desk. The pools, hot tubs and beach and surf were outstanding. I would definitely tell my colleagues to utilize this hotel.

You could have every meal at this hotel or the Holiday Inn next door! They have wonderful food. The staff at both locations are great! Anything else you want just use DoorDash ;)
