Positives: new, clean, location was great, a/c worked great, breakfast was plentiful with a variety of fresh fruit, packets that can be mixed, frozen items that can be microwaved, fresh pancakes, juices, milk, coffee. Bottled drinks/snacks were available for purchase. Great military discount!
Far more positives than negatives…but the negative was HUGE. Poorly insulated! We stayed on 2 separate occasions and will not be back! We gave it a second chance thinking maybe I remembered wrong. Nope, it turned out to be worse the second stay. Doors opened and closed all night, it sounded like it was the bathroom door by the bed it was so loud. We even had a sound machine with white noise!
Hopefully we can find a better place for future trips.👎🏻

As a former "Road Warrior" with over 5,000 hotel stays while traveling for business, both domestic and internationally, my reviews are fair.

Even the trainee at the front desk was both professional and respectful, and appeared to enjoy her job, unlike the 3 Hampton hotels this week.
Location 2/5
Right on the busy main road from Destin to Pensacola, "Road Noise" was an issue, even in the off season.
I requested to the quiet side of the hotel, the back, but was given a room in the front, despite the hotel wasn't even half full !
Bedroom 3/5
Bed was better than the 3 Hampton's we stayed at this week, but Hilton branded hotels need to work on their mattress quality, as well as pillow quality.

Very small rooms and paper thin walls were a nice touch for the almost $300.00 dollar room. The room was clean and up to date, the breakfast was coffee, tea, muffins and fruit. Over all it’s a very nice small and compact hotel .

Clean! Rooms, pool area, lobby area, and fitness center were all nice and clean. Felt very comfortable staying here. Good location as well. Rooms come with full sized hand soap, lotion, shower gel, shampoo, conditioner.

We absolutely loved our stay. The hotel was extremely clean. The housekeeping staff should get a raise. The hotel was updated and had lots of amenities and modern features. The beds were very comfortable. The breakfast was pretty awesome compared to other hotels we have been to. They have an automatic pancake maker, brand name muffins, brand name croissants, and other delicious breakfast items. We also really liked the filtered water dispenser next to the ice machine. It was nice to stay hydrated while at the beach. There is also a pool table and board games for the family during down time. The pool is quite small thoug. We look forward to returning in the future.

I am a Hilton Diamond Member and of all the years of being a member I have never stayed in a more uncomfortable hotel with the rudest cleaning staff. The beds were uncomfortable hard as a rock, I was 15 rooms away from the elevator and heard the bell chime from it opening and closing. You could hear conversations sitting in our room from rooms three down from us. The cleaning staff would go through every morning open each door, open the dead bolt and let the door slam all the way down the hall and when I asked her if should could please not do that because we were trying to sleep she stated I have a job to do so I got dressed and went down stairs to complain and all the desk people would do is say I will let the manager know and I asked for them to call me, however no call. Hilton TRU should not be a Hilton property due to not only their standards but to as the overall rudeness of their staff.

My wife and I booked this hotel based on the Hilton name as well as a AAA rating. What a disappointment!!! The room was very small, and very short on amenities: you could actually see through the holes in the toilet paper. The staff, when available at all, was unfriendly at best. We asked for a coffee pot in the room, and a second chair (we were 2 people) and was told "That is not possible"! The tv did not work and there was no closet. It was the worst hotel for the price that I have ever been in, and it was shocking to see the Hilton name attached to it.

If I could give them a negative 10, I would. I am very frustrated at this time. I arrived at the property after a 6-hour drive from Orlando to find that my request to have an adjoining room for my minor children was not fulfilled. The reservations were made two weeks ago, but no call and no update to advise that the hotel could not provide the requested items. It would have been great to know that this option was not available before we arrived. The kids are tired and I am beyond livid. This is not the service that I expected from Hilton.
Called the Diamond desk and "Cecy" pronounced Susie, and she actually lied and told me there was no supervisor available that could assist me at the Diamond desk. That was a first in all my years of dealing with this hotel chain. Great customer service, thanks for ruining the visit to Fort Walton Beach!

This will probably be overlooked or given a "corporate wordplay response" but the worst service ever. We checked in with Kevin a little after midnight. No personality. No energy. Rude. Not familiar with Hilton Honors at all. As a silver member, he should at least understand complimentary bottled water. He made me look up my number. After telling him my number (even though it was on both bookings,) it was quite difficult just to get a bottled water. Only received 1 bag despite having 2 rooms. The phone in the room doesn't work. I've been having to call the desk from my cell. When they actually answer the phone cuz the call disconnects a lot. If it really disconnects and the agents aren't hanging up. No sense of urgency either. I called 2 times for towels. The experience can be so much better if they had people in positions that really want to be at work and care about response times.

This property remind me of a college frat room. If you are under the age of 25 and or with your buddies going to party all weekend it’s a great hang out. As a business professional or with a family it is not a place recommended to stay with small children and or your parents.
The sleep quality of the bed was terrible, the pillows were also equally as bad. The air conditioning Is limited to 64° and it was stuffy in the room. Very humid all night long. There were broken floor tiles inside the room. This room is not accommodating for the business travel. The desk is small and there is no place to sit or even turn around. Whoever’s idea this was to make the room so condensed made a poor decision .
