NOTE: You must be 21 to stay at this hotel
*
Don't book directly with the hotel as a base rate will be at least $120/night (what I was told), and by booking with a third party site I saved almost $30 on my room.
*
The rooms were nice, but the floor always had moisture on it somehow along with a gritty feeling (sand maybe?). I felt like I had to wear shoes. Furniture was also extremely dirty and could see visible crumbs. This was one of the rooms that had the option of an optional adjoining room, but only the other room had a lock on their side. kinda made me nervous that at any point the people in the connecting room could unlock it and come in my room.
*
The internet was also very spotty and would say "too far from connection" even when I was in the center of my room.

The reason this was still a 3-circle stay is due to the incredibly nice and pleasant staff at the front desk.

Very quiet and private. Late night security guard and plenty of cameras all over the property to ensure the safety of you, jet skis, boats and vehicles ECT. Convenience store right across the street. Boat rental right behind hotel walking distance. Several bars within walking distance. Enjoyed my stay would return again! Oh and Cindy at the front desk took excellent care of us, polite and professional!
Everything says the pool is heated, but the owner decided not to heat it anymore. The deck chairs are far from inviting. The hot tub had stuff growing in it, and plenty of stuff floating. The "Retro Room" which had been a great place to meet, is no longer open to guests even though it's on the map and the sign on the door says it's a great place for guests to gather. There used to be a great sand volleyball court, but now one of the posts is gone and it's just overgrown. There is a game room which could be a good space if anyone cared for it. Little things like having a functional net on the ping pong table could easily be addressed, but clearly isn't a priority.
When we went to get into bed the first night, we realized the bed had been completely made, except without a fitted sheet! Apparently we were supposed to sleep on the mattress pad! The kitchen showed more examples of not caring about the people staying there. It's supposed to be a somewhat stocked kitchen, but it's just whatever was leftover. We had two spoons and bowls for four people, no cookie sheet or way to heat something in the oven, and a mini coffee maker with regular sized filters.
Our friends paid about the same price for condos on Okaloosa Island.

When I went to the office there were two other people complaining about the same floor issues THE FILTH! They sent a cleaning person to clean the floor who sprayed the floor with some type of cleaning product I think and wiped over the floor with a Swiffer type mop which just moved the filth around. I wipe the floor with a clean white towel which was black. I showed this to the cleaning person who was very very rude and said this what I was told to do. So I wiped down the whole floor with towels.
I complained the next day to the manager Connie , who was also rude. She sent over their best house cleaner who used a different cleaner and proper mop that she could rinse. Her comment WOW that dirty. The floor was better but I again clean the damp floor with a towel. I f you stay here and get a towel that's stained with dirt it well be one of the ones I cleaned the floor with. The pool was dark green and was told there was an issue with the filter system. I wonder how long because it takes some time for a pool to change to the color green .It was repaired after three day and was enjoyable for the remainder of our stay.
The internet was down for 4 days which we were told it was from a storm the prior week. if it take this long for internet company to repair replace them.
This brings me to the final issue which I didn't tell them until we checked . There was something living in the ceil over our two bathrooms and in the front wall. I believe it was either mice or what I really believe was Bats.
I just hope Marina bay's new owners take some pride in this complex and bring it back to it's glory.
The issues were endless. Upon check in another guest was complaining about the litany of issues and the overcharge she experienced. Thank goodness we had no extra cost issues. However, here is how pur experience went:
Friday morning called 11am for early check in. Told to wait until normal 3pm check in. Arrived at 3pm, told our room might be ready before they close the front desk at 4:30pm. Asked what happens if it's not, was told hopefully it would and they would call me. Didn't call me so I called after 4 and told room ready.
At this "resort" check in we were informed that the jacuzzi is broken, you have to take out your own trash, you have to wear a wristband on property at all times and pay a $10 fee if not returned, have to return dirty towels in a bag ( what bag?) to front desk for new ones and only provided 2 sets for a 3 day stay. No daily cleaning service. The bathtub was moldy, none of the appliances in the kitchen worked, the air conditioner on high fan/ cold air setting barely cooled the room, the bathroom vents were dirty and the floor was the dirtiest we had ever experienced! The bed did seem clean, but one of our towels had a big stain on it. The handy man came quickly to fix the TV and we were told this happens unexplainably all the time so we chose to never turn it off for 3 days. The pool was a scary shade of green and was 3 feet below normal the first day we arrived.
The only saving grace was we chose a room with a deck view of the harbor so we tried to sit outside when possible. There is no sun cover so often too hot to do so. The downstairs common area has oddly flashing lights at night due to broken strings of lights. The outside seemed nice, bur we didn't trust this place enough to explore further. We had to ask for toilet paper, Kleenex and trash bags during our stay. This place frankly sucks and wasn't worth the $200+ per night cost. We would get better value at a $40 / night hole in the wall! You can tell this place was once amazing, but everything has aged and fallen into disrepair. This needs sold to someone who wants to restore it to glory.

Just a few helpful hints to the next travelers. The laundry is a coin laundry, no washer/dryer in unit. Kinda tough when you constantly have wet swimsuits and towels.
The courtyard rooms have a balcony light that does not have an off switch, it is controlled by the office. Light comes in the windows at night.
Can’t wait to visit again. It has become our family favorite getaway.
With no view. The dishwasher was broken and it was only a foot high anyway. , the furniture and carpet needed replaced. The tubs needed re grouted . The microwave was on top of the refrigerator. I'm only 5 foot so it was difficult to reach.. The rooms were like a hotel suite with a door that was unlocked to make it appear like a condo. It needed a good cleaning as well.
