No sleep to be had because of the noise. The neighboring restaurants played nonstop music. If you are here to party and stay up late, then this will suffice. Otherwise, not a relaxing or restful place to stay for weary travelers. The room was not very clean and the AC was a pain to operate. It was either freezing us or baking us with no in between. The coup de gras was my sister who was in a different room got locked out of her room at 0245 when she helped her roommate carry out luggage to catch an early flight. When she returned to the room the door has jammed and despite calling the front desk for help, they're was no one on the property to help her. She knocked on our door and stayed with us until it was light enough for her to go get her door jimmied open with her key card. Also, you have to carry luggage up and down 24 steps to get to the rooms. The only plusses were a real coffee maker, the proximity of the beach and the view. …
Do not stay here! The manager is rude, the rooms are dirty and they are not cleaned properly! And on top of the horrible service, there were cockroaches! We stayed with a group of people and at least three of the rooms we all were in had cockroaches! We wanted to move the bed to see what else we found and there was this horrible sticks residue covered with rat feces!
Stayed at the La Terrace for the first time, 3/4/22 - 3/13/22. Our flight was late, but check in went smoothly. All rooms are on second floor so make sure you can carry suitcases up a flight of stairs. We were in room 15 with an ocean view. The room was large and very clean. All the floors were tiled, the bed was comfortable, the bathroom was plenty big with a pedestal sink, stand up shower and small wall cabinent for toiletries. Water pressure was good and stayed hot. Had plenty of kitchen space with a full size fridge and table along with silverware, plates, and bowls. The only thing missing was a dresser, there was a shelf unit to store your clothes. The deck was very nice with newer lounge chairs and a great view. The hotel is right on the boardwalk with dining and shopping a short walk away. At night the music can be loud but the a/c white noise would down it out, a worthwhile price to pay for the location. The hotel has beach chairs and towels for the guests. House keeping was great, providing fresh towels and accessories on request. There was no ice machine but was simple to freeze water bottles for our beach cooler. We had a great time staying at the LA Terrace hotel and Hollywood Beach and would definitely stay there again.…
We stayed for 5 nights. Location was great and easy to get to the beach ...chairs provided by them which made it so nice...Melanie our housekeeper made sure we always had everything we needed and went beyond what most workers would do...will be staying again and bringing a bigger group of friends to all enjoy the great view from right outside your door. Thank you Melanie and staff for a great stay!
Staff very nice. Excellent location! Room was simple but clean and staff willing to go out of their way to make sure you are comfortable. Free use of beach chair. Terrace was perfect! Housekeeper was very nice
Like everyone posted, this is a perfect location, and that’s exactly what we were looking for. It’s perfectly located on the Hollywood Boardwalk with several local restaurants. We had a late flight coming from NY, and needed somewhere to stay prior to getting in to our place for the weekend. We didn’t want to spend too much, so you do get what you pay for. We were not surprised, that the place was dirty and we did see several bugs in our unit, unit 14. The bed was like sleeping on the floor, lots of smokers here too, dirty ash trays and cigarettes all over the terrace. The property manager was very polite and nice, and asked us if we needed anything. With all of that said, because of the location and the hospitality of the manager, we give this place 2 stars. Again, the review is only to be honest. If you don’t mind all of the above, and are traveling on a budget location is perfect. In the morning we walked 3 miles on the boardwalk, and had a cup of coffee with a croissant, just what we needed before heading out.…
We were very excited to stay in this ocean-front motel. I knew this was a 2.5-star motel, but the location was perfect and I saw some good reviews so I decided to book this place. When we arrived there, the very small iron door was locked and there was no one to let us in. There was a red phone at the door to call, so we did. No one answered and just went to the answering machine. We left messages several times. We also called the hotel number direct several times and left messages. The only good thing was the weather was nice to wait outside and some nice people there tried to help us out but no luck. We waited for an hour and a half!!!!! To make the long story short, I ended up calling the company I made a reservation through and they helped us book a different and much nicer hotel. No one there to greet guests – NOT ACCEPTABLE!…
Filthy Conditions… Do not stay here..!! Although the Hotel is right on the beach, with a perfect location. It’s so sad that the owner does not care about this Hotel and is not even keeping it clean. We even talked to him and he told us he did not care. Our room was filthy.. cockroaches on the patio … dirty kitchenette… mold and mildew in the shower. Hotel also charges $20 to park in their own parking lot.
This hotel is directly on the broadwalk of the Hollywood beach which made our vacation very enjoyable. Our room is of comfortable size that includes full kitchen, walk-in closet and reasonable bathroom. The kitchen missed many kitchenware, but we received most of it upon our request. The bad side of the room was its location above the garbage bins and we had bad smell all the time. The room maid was very kind and honest. Generally, the hotel need a complete upgrade that, in our opinion, will make it the best on Hollywood beach.
My mother died 5 days ago. I booked a room with oceanfront according to the promises made in their ad. I needed a space to process my grief. I got a hole with no view, dark, dirty and smelly. I complained about it -and I was not nice. The ugliest person on planet earth I have ever encountered called the police on me and told me that she will not refund me for the reservation. I spoke to the police, three lovely human beings. Of course, I got my refund, my deposit -which she tried to steal from me- and, most importantly, their acknowledgment that what they did was wrong and unfair. God is good, I'm writing from a lovely hotel, where I got the room that I deserve, with oceanfront. And I am crying my grief out loud. Please, stay away from this nasty place and their awful people.
