My husband, lil Cockapoo and I thoroughly enjoyed the beautful grounds and wonderful hospitality of Cathy's lovely lakeside home. What a little gem tucked away in the charming town of Inverness. I never knew there was so many beautiful lakes in the area with the view from my cozy bedroom being one of them! We were treated to visiting with...

A group of bicycle riders checked in here after a day riding the Withalacoochie trail. Although old, this motel is clean and comfortable and the staff is welcoming and friendly. We had one snafu in our registration, but it was quickly reconciled (they had 2 guests with the same last name - who knew?) The hotel has storage for bicycles...

We spent a week in February at Cathy's charming cottage. We chose the location because of the lake, for canoeing and birding and its proximity to paddling springs of the Nature Coast and the Withlacoochee bike trail, which has a central trail head in down town Inverness. We found the Lake Room, with its water view to be very comfortable,...

I stayed at The Lake House while attending a conference in Lecanto and I could not have asked for a better spot. The grounds are lovely in a "Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil" kind of way; very peaceful. Cathy is a delightful hostess. She and her two adorable dogs make you feel right at home! I did...

Kathy is a wonderful and attentive hostess. The old hunting lodge is very charming, albeit a tad dark at night. Our room was large enough and very clean. The bed mattress was a little bit too bouncy for my taste, but everything else was perfect.

This was my first visit to the Lake House, I have a house in the area which is currently leased and I was there to check on it. Cathy is a great host, and loves to decorate the Lake house and makes you feel welcome and meeting other guests was very warm and easy. I would recommend this b+b to...

During your visit, you will feel like you are personal guest in Kathy's home. The Lake House is an older but very spacious home with a large, lovely yard and interior filled with antique charm. We were the only guests through our 2 day stay so we enjoyed quiet privacy too. Spotty internet service.

We were looking for a place to stay while our close friend was home on military leave and The Lake House was absolutely perfect. It was true southern hospitality at it's finest. We've all got plans to stay there when he comes home again. I'd recommend this lovely place to absolutely anyone looking for a getaway!

What can't you like about 'old Florida'? Majestic oaks; long rolling lawn to the lake; Florida native plants abound the gardens . Inside, Cathy has taken this 1930's hunting lodge to new heights of elegance. Soaring stone fireplace in the main living area with a wagon wheel chandelier. Many comfortable setees, cushions and 4 large skylights bathe the room with...
