Six of us stayed in a 3-bedroom condo at Turtle Dunes over Spring Break (our first time at Turtle Dunes, but have been coming to AIP for years). There were many things to love about this place - a beach that seems to go on forever; lots of bike trails; access to heated pools (if you book through the Omni...

My dog and I enjoyed 5 days at the Villas. The best thing, other than the miles and miles of dog friendly beach and the lovely balcony overlooking the ocean with relaxing sound of the waves, is you can use all of the Omni hotel amenities. We enjoyed our time at the Omni adults-only pool. I would have liked a...

Went to Omni's Amelia Island Plantation Resort recently for a quick respite from the cold Northeast weather. We had only 4 nights and booked an oceanfront villa, where we hoped to sleep to the sounds and view of the ocean. The first night we had "partial ocean view." Management moved us to another villa, where the bedroom was in the...

Beautiful Island resort with all amenities so that you won't ever need to leave the property. Nine restaurants and in room dinning makes for a varied dinning experience. Staff are friendly and helpful. Beds in the Suites were comfortable but styling abit dated. Something for everyone with fair pricing. I will return soon!!!

We look forward to returning. We loved our villa. We loved the plantation and enjoyed all of the amenities. The natural beauty was everywhere. We went to the beach, pools, biked, ran, kayaked, swam and took advantage of the kids classes at the nature center. There was a variety of food. All of the food was great. We were close...

We enjoyed our stay so much - a sister's weekend, just to get away and have a simple relaxing time. The location and accommodations fit our expectations to a tee. We ate, shopped, enjoyed a spa visit, charged everything to the room and had no worries. A wonderful experience. For six women splitting all costs was extremely affordable.

The Omni Amelia Island Plantation and Villas is divided into a hotel and then plain old condos. If you are unlucky enough to be in a villa, you get none of the perks from Omni membership - terrible stay.

We stayed at Sandcastles I. Room 6305. Very frustrating that the 1 bedrooms do not have photos up on the website so we were a bit anxious to see what the villa looked like. It was very clean with recent upgrades to the kitchen & bathroom. Very clean, great space & view of the ocean! The laundry services are shared...

Equal to resorts in Mayan Riviera or Punta Cana. Extensive walking paths and beautiful beaches. Verandah Restaurant and Oceanside Grill are very good. Room was clean and beds most comfortable. Staff very responsive.Take the tour at the Amelia Island Museum of History to learn more about this island which was under 8 flags.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Villas of Amelia Island Plantation sprawl across 1,350 beautiful and isolated acres, along Florida's north eastern coastline, just across the St. Marys River in Georgia and adjacent to the historic city of Fernandina. The Villas overlook the blue waters of the Atlantic Ocean on the east and the Intracoastal Waterway on the west. Though private, secluded and protected by a gated entry, the location is a convenient 45 minute drive away from downtown Jacksonville and 29 miles from Jacksonville International Airport. Private and corporate aircraft charters can fly directly to Fernandina Beach Municipal Airport, which is only four miles north of the plantation. Each villa is unique and different. Units come in varying sizes and locations, including ocean view, resort view and tennis view single guest rooms, as well as one-, two- and three-bedroom units, ideal for larger parties, and feature fully equipped kitchens, dining areas, spacious living rooms, multiple baths and private bedrooms. Most complexes have at least one pool. Be sure to confirm the villa type, location and amenities available when booking. The villa accommodations are independently owned, but are located within proximity to the Omni Amelia Island Plantation Resort. ... more   less
