Really nice place !!! I stayed in a bay front view room with a beautiful sunset view. Quiet place. Free kayak (just present your ID). Free wifi. Easy parking space. Very clean. Many spaces to tan. Breakfast was OK.

We stayed in the Sailaway suite. We were very pleasantly surprised by the size of the suite, the very comfortable bed, decor, cleanliness & overall property amenities (free use of kayaks)! The property is a great value, & the owners did a great job of paying homage to "old world" Florida w/o being kitschy. All of the staff were very...

Thank you very much for your review! We try very hard to preserve the "old Florida" feel and it's very refreshing to hear that wasn't lost on you. The Pelican is a wonderful start or finish to a Keys adventure. We hope to welcome you back very soon on your next visit to Key Largo!

This is an old Florida cabin type motel. The ocean view sweets are large with a kitchenette but overall it has seen better days. Could use some strong soap and water and a good scrubbing. The pictures displayed on various websites give an overly optimistic view of the site. There is a nice pier area and it is within walking...

The pelican is a comfortable stay with beach access and is decently priced. beds are comfortable. the furniture is a little run down and out dated but that is expected for the price. the breakfast is not really worth it. other then that its a semi nice place to stay

You have to remember why you stay here. If you are looking for a plush resort with all sorts of fancy amenities, you have the wrong place. If, however, you want to see how Florida used to be before the Interstate highway system, huge malls, and amusements parks, this is your place. The place has a dozen or two cottages,...

You hit the nail on the head! We strive to provide an authentic "old Florida" experience for our guests. We are very simple and unpretentious and offer a glimpse of life from a bygone era. From the moment that you pull onto the property, you will be transported back to a much simpler time without all of the hustle and...

We only stayed one night on our way through and it was fantastic. I personally loved the cozy cottage community feel. Our room was standard hotel size (2 doubles) with a very small bathroom but was fine for just the two of us. I loved that we could take the kayaks out just before sunset. It was amazing. I would...

It's hard to find reasonably priced lodging in the Keys, but this place is one of the best bargains. This is a relaxing place and not the place for keeping tabs on your business. There are no phones in the cottages; but has a fridge, tv, clock radio, ceiling fan and free wi-fi. Rooms have good remote controlled AC. Beds...

4 nights, family of four. Nice and clean. Friendly staff.Nice little beach and piers to snorkle from, free kajaks. Next to Snooks and Mrs Macs Kitchen which are very good restaurants! Do It Yourself breakfast was toastbread and some cakes, juice and a coffee machine, no cheese, no fruit. You have to fill up juice etc yourself; I think they...

Thank you for your wonderful review! We are so pleased to learn that you enjoyed your stay with us. Stopped on our way to the Florida Keys and it was a good start to our week in Paradise. The room was small, but exceptionally clean. Staff was friendly when asked for dinner suggestions. Great location on the water!

Very expensive and dirty. We went to check it out before paid for it and the rooms we looked at were very smelly and beds not made. Not a picky person but would never stay in a place like that. The roof looked like a thatched roof. Big gaps under the door and just overall gross. Don't spend the money....

We are among the cheapest lodging options that you will find anywhere in the Keys. That being said, there are no units on the property that would have a "thatched roof." The only thing that could possibly fit that description would be our tikis on the property but those are common areas and we certainly do not house guests in...
