Stayed here for one night in Feb, 2021. The location is good...away from the crowds of Duvall Street but a very short shuttle ride if you want to go there. The pool area and bar were very nice. The rooms however are in need of a remodel and upgrade. Carpet was dingy, bathroom needed some updates, etc. Given the condition it is a bit overpriced, but everything is in Key West. It was a good value but needs a little TLC.
I had the opportunity to stay at the Doubletree for 9 nights. I must say the entire staff went out of their way to make our stay comfortable. We were very grateful that the resort staff were following all the regulations regarding a safe operation. Separate entrances and exits, signs reminding people of masks and numerous hand sanitizing stations. I especially want to mention the professionalism of the entire resort staff when dealing with individuals who didn’t want to wear masks or practice physical distancing. I observed numerous times when other guests were less than pleasant to staff regarding masks and physical distancing - each time without fail the staff handled themselves with calmness, courtesy and with an abundance of professionalism. The general manager Mr. Knowles was always around to explain and to do all that he could to make guests feel safe and truly welcome. I certainly will stay here again. A big thank you to all the staff. …
It is not close to the center of the town, but they have a shuttle bus that will take you there. However, driving your own vehicle is much faster. The last two nights, we had very loud neighbors who were up pretty much the whole night. The hotel did absolutely nothing about it. They offered us a different room. However, I don't feel that we should move after four quiet nights. They should have moved the party people who kept us awake. Why would they even book rooms next to each other (with shared doors) during a pandemic?
Stayed for 3 nights, $1500 total from 2/17 and checked out on 2/20. Cleaning service because of covid only cleans at checkout not during your stay. Pool was nice...but not worth 1500. Found a lighter under the bed, so room probably wasn't cleaned enough prior to our stay. Balcony room, balcony was maybe 4ft by 2ft? Very tiny. Not worth the money, won't be staying at this location again
It’s a shame in this day and time companies work so hard for repeat business and all it takes is one person with a bad attitude to ruin it for the entire staff. Thanks (Mark) counter guy for for being about as useless as snow in Key West. While I’m just a silver member with Hilton I will go out of my way in the future to stay elsewhere. The rest of the staff was terrific including the young man behind the bar all by himself. And Our waiter at breakfast. The hallways may have been a bit dated, but the room was clean and the pool was nice. A bit pricey for the resort “but hey it’s capitalism at its best get what you can”.
