This resort is wonderful and extremely well managed. Check in was the best ever with a handout detailing all of the amenities. The shuttle to the heart of Key West was fantastic as it saved parking. Even in the evening when everyone wanted to return home, they had two shuttles to pick up everyone. In the breakfast area, they even had a person open the door for you as your hands were full with plates which was a very nice touch. The pool area was very nice with cabanas. Billy the Greek was fantastic at the outside bar. The water and cookies were also very nice. This is just a great hotel. All staff members were outstanding, friendly and really cared about their jobs. Compliments to the management team for doing a great job.

The pool area is just perfect with plenty of towels, free cabanas and the water is heated. There is a free shuttle to downtown Key West that leaves every hour from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. The rooms are large and if you are a Hilton Gold member or higher the buffet breakfast is free. If not then it's $15.99 per person. They give you bottles of water and warm cookies, YUM, whenever you want not just at check in time. There is a small store in the lobby to buy snacks and personal items or a carry out store within just about a 3 minute walk.

Tired, not yet exhausted... But by that I do mean that you typically do not find a DoubleTree that needs much done to it as this one does. The mattresses have a definitive ridge down the center which is not anything I ever associated with the Doubletree. The shower sliding glass door opens only about two-thirds of the way of where the stop on the glide would be put. Grout is falling out by the door that this is most likely exacerbated by the broken molding which is the sign of course to keep the water in. 50% of the rooms face the parking lot and if you close the curtains it is a relatively darkroom even with all the lighting on. In the fitness center none of the TVs on the treadmills or ellipticals we're working nor were they repaired in my five night visit as well as the belts on the treadmill needing to be replaced as they are curling up on the edges. While much is needed to be done I want to also share that the staff was phenomenal, professional, engaging and the bar staff made a fine cocktail. All of the shuttle drivers were also just fantastic and if they weren't on time they did not miss it by much. None of us chose to eat any meals within the hotel as we all had some place that we wanted to go down in the wharf or historic district..

Overall it was a great experience. It was my first time to Key West and I got to celebrate the New Year there. I thought it was going to be wild and crazy but it wasn't. It's a more mature respectful crowd thats just ready to have fun. Everyone had a good time on Duval Street. I walked back and forth on Duval from Sloppy Joe's to Hard Rock and Bourbon St Pub to see Sushi. The crowds are mainly in front of those locations but you can easily go on a backstreet to come back on Duval and you are able to walk the streets. The Doubletree accomodated their guests with a shuttle drop off and pick up that worked perfectly. The restaurant /bar was great. There is a salad that is delicious. It has shrimp, watermelon and feta OMG it is so tasty. The breakfast buffet is okay. I've been to alot better. I also ordered off the menu and that was just okay as well. The pool area is nice and the staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. If you are looking clean, safe, laid back hotel that is about 15-20 min away from all the tourist locations this is the spot. This place was awful from start to finish. Our first room had bugs. We went to report it and there were zero apologies from the staff, who just said we could switch rooms. Our “new” room was equipped with a defective lock/door that wouldn’t even shut on its own. Each time we left the room we would have to use the key card just to get the door to shut properly. The fitness room could only be used by appointment, so if someone else already had it booked, you were just out of luck- And when you finally get in, half the equipment doesn’t even work. The halls were always dirty. The rooms are very outdated and old considering the price of the room each night. The bar closed early every night. We had to beg, plead, and finally complain to have our room cleaned and just get some fresh towels and soap. Housekeeping doesn’t come regularly “due to covid” so you have to call and make an appointment for cleaning. We called twice: once after no one came the first time. They told us it took a 4 hour block time to schedule cleaning so we stayed away all day thinking we could come back to a clean room and towels etc. instead we came back to full trash, no towels, no soap. After calling and complaining they still didn’t come or even apologize. They also try to charge you a daily hotel fee for absolutely nothing. Save your money and a headache and book elsewhere. We will never be back.

Nice rooms they show they are adhering to the covid cleaning policies our room had a sticker showing it was sanitized that you break when you enter. I would go again the breakfast I would pass on no cream cheese and limited choices for 12.95 a person pass on the decaf wasn’t hot at all so I got a soda. The pool ate was clean and the bar drinks was good.

We stayed here for a night recently and had a wonderful experience. The property is a bit dated but the staff is friendly and helpful. Everyone was abiding by social distancing measures and was wearing masks. Hand sanitizer stations all over the property also helped instill a sense of cleanliness. There was someone serving breakfast at the buffet to minimize contact, which was also a nice touch. Food wasn't the best, but it was enough.
Would recommend staying here!

Came here expecting a standard hotel, but was disappointed with the quality of the hotel for the price. Paying $300+ per night is ridiculous for the outdated, poorly unkept nature of the hotel rooms. Small shower, outdated furniture, dark, and dusky hotel rooms. Breakfast overpriced ($13/person) for a limited buffet. Pool was fine. Shuttle downtown was a nice offering but they did not enforce mask wearing guidelines. Hotel was lower quality than many other hotels I’ve been to, even cheap residence inns at $100/night. I understand the price gouging due to location, but given its income, you’d expect they’d update some of the hotels dated features. Try to find another hotel if staying in Key West.

I do not want to add to reviews that are not helpful to others. We felt this property was very overpriced for these reasons: Rooms are clean, but dated Rooms are very noisy. Walls so thin we were awakened every night. When we asked about a quiet room, the reply at front desk was, " It is only as quiet as our guests " The property was not full and we would have appreciated a quieter room. Breakfast service was terrible and menu and buffet are overpriced. Dinner service was better but expensive. There is a small store nearby for breakfast and snacks. Most guests we talked with agreed that the property is, "Just OK."
The positives for us were Bar service Clean areas and housekeeping was great Pool and hot tub area
For our price, we would look for another property.

My husband and I will be making our 3rd visit in February to this hotel. We have found the staff to be exceptional and the hotel to be clean and the amenities perfect. Each of the front desk staff that I dealt with responded to me in a courteous and professional manner regardless of my request. The breakfast buffet was always fresh, replenished frequently, and a great start to our day. Although we had a car we took daily advantage of the shuttle service provided by friendly and careful drivers, if the shuttle is full they usually have another one arriving within 10-15 minutes. Towels and chairs are plentiful at the pool and we always enjoyed the hot tub after a day of exploring. We will be disappointed if it's closed due to Covid. There are reviews here indicating that the property needs refurbishment and although I did see some areas where there could be some sprucing up, the positives far outweigh any areas of the property that are "tired".

You don’t need to show any ID or have a ticket. Just show up at the front of the hotel at the departure times and hop on. Same with pickup off of Duval Street. Super easy! Will also take / pick up at the airport.
