Key West has real character and charm, is very walkable, and the Almond Tree is a great place to stay in which to see it. The Almond Tree Inn physical buildings may reflect its former Motel heritage, but that is where the similarities end – everything else has been elevated several levels. The rooms are modern and very tastefully appointed with good amenities and the service is better than many 5 star hotels we’ve stayed at in the world. The location is fantastic – it is just off the famous Duval Street with its lights, hustle ‘n’ bustle, and broad cross-section of people - but turn on to Truman Avenue and into the Almond Tree Inn and you arrive at a little haven, a convenient sanctuary. The continental breakfast provides a good breadth of options, and the ‘Happy Hour’ food and drink were very enjoyable. The Inn is not cheap but for Key West (where things are generally expensive) it represents decent value. However, it is the people that really make this a cut above many other places. All the staff we met (from reception, breakfast, cleaning & maintenance) were friendly, extremely professional, and above all thoughtful and caring. It was clear that they wanted to do everything they could to ensure all guests had an enjoyable stay; and despite unseasonably overcast/grey weather that is exactly what we had – a very enjoyable stay. Should we come back to Key West we won’t hesitate to stay here again. We would like to make a special mention of Bill, Dasha, Shannon, Trudy, Tina, Alecia and Arcibell who were all fantastic!

We recently returned from our 1st trip to Key West. We are so glad we selected Almond Tree Inn as our place to stay. We loved our king room, the location, our patio with table and chairs, just everything about the Inn. Every employee was super friendly and helpful, don’t want to name names we may forget someone! We enjoyed the breakfast every morning, most days we didn’t make it back for the happy hour but was nice to have that available. The location was close to everything, walkable everywhere, bicycles available from the hotel and scooter rental was across the street. There is also a CVS right next-door in case you forget something. We enjoyed sitting on the lounges by the pool late in the evening with all the beautiful lighting. Most importantly the Inn was spotless and masks were required when ordering your food which was extremely important to us. Thank you Almond Tree Inn for a great vacation and we hope to return!

This was our 4th stay already in the Key West and first time in Almond Tree but definitely not the last time. W3 just find our new favourite place to stay. We were checked in by friendly and passionate Dasha, walked thrue the tropical like paradise looking garden with pool which was so beautiful decorated for the festive holidays and once arriving in our luxury suite we were just astounded by the modern, spotless clean, spacious room with an amazing bathroom. Every morning there was an excellent breakfast served by the so friendly staff with a great choice of fresh pastries, toasts, fruit, vegetables, meats and cheese. The happy hour in the afternoon was a great surprise and a nice way how to relax next to the pool after a busy day in the town. We just felt in love with this place - close to everything ( few steps to Duval street ) and still quite from the busy streets of historic downtown. Great private parking was a big plus. I give these place 11 out of 10 and we will be back again.

My wife and I, along with my nephew and his wife, just returned from a four night stay at Almond Tree Inn. We arrived on July 7 and departed on July 11. This trip was booked in early June 2020 with our clear understanding that covid was causing societal changes on a daily basis; but unless Key West was closed/flights were cancelled, we were committed to going. Glad we went. Wore masks on the flights down and also followed all health safety mandates/recommendations after arrival in Key West. We arrived at the Almond Tree Inn and were greeted by a very welcoming front desk clerk which immediately established a good vibe. We had previously stayed here on two other occasions most recently in 2016. We were pleased they still offer complimentary breakfast and happy hour daily. The property was kept exceptionally clean by the housekeeping staff and other employees. Our suite was kept to a high standard and everything around the property was maintained to a high degree. One example of their attention to detail is staff frequently cleaned the pool loungers when not in use and also disinfected the railings and ladder used to enter/exit the pool. Clean towels for use by the pool were always readily available. Spoke to several other guests who shared similar sentiments about staying at Almond Tree Inn. The location of this property is perfect for a short walk to fantastic food and entertainment, but also offered a quiet oasis when desired. All of the staff were genuinely friendly and accommodating. We enjoyed our stay so much we booked a return trip to the Almond Tree Inn for December 2020.

Almond Tree was a great place to stay. We spend 2 weeks in Key West every February and had booked our customary place a year in advance, only to have them cancel on us in December due to renovations. We were scrambling to find another room during the same time frame which is prime season. Almond Tree met our criteria of adults only and the area near Old Town/Bahama Village. We got the last available room which is their ADA-compliant room. It wouldn’t have been our first choice of room because of the noisy location next to the office/bar, but we were happy to get a booking for our dates. The staff later showed us other rooms for future reference and there are some beautiful suites at the rear of the property for about $40 per night more, which we would readily book in the future. Key West in February is very expensive, and the Almond Tree’s rates are right up there, but we feel we got our money’s worth. Both the room and the pool area are VERY clean. The rooms feel fresh and updated with new furniture and the bed was comfortable. Landscaping is beautiful and well maintained, providing a good buffer to the convenient location near a busy intersection (easy walking to many great restaurants and the Loop bus).

Almond Tree’s biggest asset is its staff. Each and every staffer was cheerful and professional. Trudy, the manager, called us in advance to see if we had any special requirements since we had booked the ADA room. Concierges Peter and Dacha went above and beyond in anticipating our needs. The attitude and kindness of the staff really enhanced our experience. We will return here.

Almond Tree Inn was an absolute gem from the moment we showed up. Our flights changed, so we were able to get into KW by 11 am on Saturday 9/5. We went in fully thinking we would just have them hold our bags while we went to lunch and our room was ready but they were able to get us in our room and Shannon was so fabulous. She offered places to eat, where to rent a golf cart, and answered any questions we had. The breakfast in the morning was great even in the world of Covid that we live in. Same with happy hour! The location of the hotel is perfect! You seriously can not hear the noise of duval even though it is right next door. The rooms are modern, sleek and if you are concerned about covid and germs, do not be! We walked in the room smelled so crisp and clean..i can't describe it. it wasn't medicinal, but you knew it was clean. The pool is FAB-there is nothing better than going for a nigh swim in a calm beautiful pool under the stars.

This was the best place for us to stay. It was located perfectly and every single staff member from the front desk (day or night) to the housekeepers were all on point!

I highly recommend renting a bike from the front desk and getting up in the morning before it gets crazy and the cars start coming and bike around the island. See the sites from Mallory Square, the marina, Cuban Coffee Queen on Margaret St, down Duval to the Southernmost Point over to Higgs beach and Smathers beach. It is the best money you will spend!

The hotel was exceptionally clean and very comfy bedding. You can tell the staff take pride in their hotel and are always going out of their way to be polite and helpful. We stayed in one of the poolside rooms and loved it. They also served breakfast and had a daily happy hour at the hotel. As Key West had just opened recently after Coronavirus, the hotel was very conscientious about social distancing and having tons of hand sanitizer. This made us feel very comfortable about staying there and was much appreciated. We will be staying there again next time we come to Key West! Cannot recommend enough!

Hands down our favorite place to stay in Key West! Cleanest rooms, friendliest staff and great location. Off the beaten path but literally 20 steps to Duval. You’ll regret booking anywhere else!
Pool is crystal clear and centered in the palm surrounded courtyard, seems secluded despite its center of activity location. Superior front desk personnel and support staff make you feel like you’re old friends. Will be back!

From the moment Shannon greeted us the evening we arrived to the moment she said so long the day we left, we felt right at home. The staff are attentive and friendly. We stayed in a king suite and the room had all the amenities you come to expect in upscale hotels but a quaintness that truly made us feel at home. The pool made the hot mid day seem not so hot. The cleaning folks and maintenance worker were always smiling and making sure we had all we needed. The grounds and hotel we’re clean and always being sanitized. My wife and I will definitely be back and we are bringing family.

The location is perfect if your a walker and if your not, you can Lyft just about anywhere for under 15.00. The staff is so amazingly nice and helpfulI, I felt like I was saying goodbye to true friends. Both the breakfast and happy hour were generous and offered an environment that allowed us to meet and mingle with other guest. The rooms were a pleasure to be in, spacious and easy to relax in, beds were very comfortable, the blackout blinds allowed us to sleep in undisturbed and the AC kept us cool, because is was really HOT outside. I would return to Key West every year just to stay at Almond Tree and catch up with Trudy and Shannon.
