We recently stayed here for three nights with other couples. The room upstairs was larger than expected. The only drawback was we had a cooler and carrying it up the stairs was difficult. So we changed rooms and the gentleman at the front desk was so kind to carry our cooler downstairs to our room number 21. Which had a...

Spent 3 nights here. Very comfortable and close walking distance to Mallery Square, Duval Street and Historic Seaport. No need to drive just park the car and walk. People are nice and very helpful. Breakfast every morning. Just couldn't be beat.

Nice quiet location near Duval street (2 blocks) as well as Higgs beach, Dog beach and Fort Zachary Taylor. I stayed in the smaller room with a queen sized bed and that was plenty for me. I also had a huge wrap around balcony that faced Truman Ave (room #2) that I could step out onto any time. By staying...

Hi Ken, Thank you for taking the time to post your review. You'll be happy to hear that we're doing exactly what you suggested with regards to making our way through the rooms and updating the bathroom flooring. It's a work in progress, and hopefully it won't be too long before every room is finished. Please come and see us...

My husband and I wanted to stay in a hotel that was centrally located on Key West. This was our first visit and we wanted to see it all. The Chelsea House was very helpful right from the start (there are 6 hotels in the Historic District and they will help you find a hotel with availability). We were close...

Booked a room for 2 nights here. When we checked in, we were shown our room on a "map", which was actually in a 4th building around the corner from the main buildings. I was a little nervous at first but when we saw the "house" and our room, we LOVED it! The room was very large and recently updated....

We stayed two nights at the Chelsea House Hotel. Wow! What a great place to stay. The only problem was that we had to leave! Such a great place, close to everything and very quiet. Our room was really nice and obviously updated recently. I highly recommend this place!

Great place for one night stay in Key West. Staff was great and the place was just as cute as it could be. Walking distance to everything we wanted to do. Walked down to the tiny pearl for dinner which was outstanding!

We are only commenting on OUR experience in this review. Our room was good value and anyone who stays here should appreciate the hotel is an old hotel in the old area of town. You could not be better located for everything Key West has to offer without being in the noisy central strip of Duval street (which is a...

We stayed here because of it's central location and "Key West feel". The room rates seemed a bit steep until we got a better feel for the service and atmosphere. After staying there, we found everything about the hotel was great. The location was very central and within walking distance to just about everything. The property was VERY nice. The...

Extremely small rooms and very loud air conditioning! Breakfast served outside even when raining ☹️Not quaint and too expensive for the size room. All queen rooms are not equal!!! No space to hang clothes or leave out toiletries.

Hi Francine, Sorry you happened to visit Key West during one of the only rainy weeks we've had for almost a year. I know it put a damper on your stay (no pun intended.) With regards to the air conditioning, if you're accustomed to central a/c which is virtually impossible to detect, then staying somewhere with even professional-grade wall units...
