I spend 100+ nights per year in all levels of accommodations and travel to Key West 3 or 4 times per year. Additionally due to my industry/company I was required to travel during the entire COVID nightmare. I totally understand the challenges and changes the pandemic brought to hotels and have a great deal of respect for the hospitality industry as a whole. Regards to accommodations on the island; I accept a certain level of quirkiness and know from past experiences to have a lowered expectation. I have no issues with the limited staff I engaged with. All were professional and relatively friendly. My room, linens and towels on the surface looked and smelled clean. Pool, hot tub and loungers were maintained. Free breakfast is decent and appreciated. The property, structures in general and bars are old, very dated and in need of much attention. My room showed much wear & tear, furniture needs thrown out, celling fan too loud to use and missing any chair to sit on. The Wi-Fi never worked during my stay due to I think the bill not being paid? I didn't feel so safe at night? No staff on site in the guest house. Saw controlled access doors open at times. My neighbors got into a couple fights which was upsetting. The New Orleans House could be amazing with some cosmetic investment to the building and bars, gutting the rooms and added common technology. With the shrinking options for all male accommodations, it should be a goldmine but instead is kind of a joke?

This place is situated where there’s a bunch of shops close by and plenty to do! The vibe here is very fun especially the poolside bar. The only thing that wasn’t so great was the rooms. They were clean and well-kept, but the building itself is very old, and it reflects that in both the plumbing, and the fact that the only way to reach the upper level is by stairs.

Very friendly and accommodating staff. Decent gym facility. Continental breakfast was simple, but nice views of the area. Pool and jacuzzi were wonderful. Only two complaints - comments: It can be very noisy as the bar attached closes at 4am. White noise helps as does booking a room on the upper deck or interior areas. Also, if you're priority is of a sexual nature, this is first a social setting, sexual second. Island House is the reverse, but also much more expensive. Still 5 🌟. It's really the staff that made the difference.

I wish I could point to one staff member, but it was nearly all. I was disrespected at nearly every turn here. The only thing I enjoyed had absolutely nothing to do with the property itself, rather it was the Christmas parade. This was my second and final time. A year earlier it was good enough to give it a second chance, that part is my fault.

Note All Male Guesthouse Checked in with friends after their wedding, I stayed in 11a right next to jacuzzi. I wanted to be away from the party, I booked online not realizing that is the party. I can sleep through noise had no trouble sleeping the room is relatively quiet considering and I will Book it again. The room was Very very clean. I watched them clean it and they do a great job especially in the bathroom. The staff Front Desk, all Bar Areas, Cleaning, Friendly as can be, to name a few, Dane(we remember your name LOL) Nick, Tim, Rhett, Jeff, Marky and Taz Great guys all I didnt spent too much time with the ladies of the bar but when I did they were friendly as well. I was sad to leave. The location is great right on Duval Street and guests can walk down the main strip easily. This is an ADULT MEN ONLY location, some women wanted to go back to the Mens only area from the coed front bar and the bar staff was polite and said no. They were polite till one Woman took it upon herself to march back and she was kindly marched out. This is not for families with young children.

Stayed in the cottage July 1st-July 8th. Steven checked me in, showed me to the room, answered all my questions. Tropical Storm Elsa blew through. Steven and Jeff checked on me during the storm. Each went out of his way to make sure I was safe and comfortable. Jeff was my Superman. Steven was super, too. Both were helpful, friendly, and put my mind at ease during Elsa. The housekeeping was great. The bartenders were the best, including the aforementioned Jeff. The cottage itself was perfect for me. Whenever I had people over, there was plenty of room to relax and entertain. Comfortable bed. Roomy. Cozy. Just another great stay. All the staff was fantastic. No complaints.

The below is an email I sent to the hotel, a few days after we stayed there, and responding to an email they sent me. To this day, I never received a response to any of my comments or a refund for the double charge at the bar. I tried to do a fair review, so you can make your own conclusions from my correspondence with them. I will not go back there. I hope that by sharing my email you have a better idea. Hi Josh, Instead of a review, that may be perceived as negative, I am sending an email with some feedback, because I have been at your hotel several times and I like it there; however, there are a couple of things that I'd like to mention. When I booked my reservation online on your website, I also sent an email asking about the 10% discount on returning guests. No one ever responded and I did not receive the discount. This is the 3rd time in less than a year that we have stayed in Apartment #2. Prior to that, we stayed in Apt # 1 and in the downstairs room right behind the bar. As you can see we have been returning guests for quite some time. The toilet in apartment #2 is almost like a 'baby toilet', it is very low and very small and uncomfortable. The toilet seat is so small that I had to sit directly on the bowl, because there was no room for me to sit comfortably on it. It is pretty common to have an elongated toilet these days in hotels. You can find them for a very inexpensive price, like $150, with water saving features. The water pressure on the shower is extremely low, there are shower heads that increase pressure and also save water that make you feel much better when taking a shower. There's nothing covering the windows to provide a bit of darkness in the morning. When you want to sleep in, as often happens when on vacation, it is impossible with the regular mini blinds you have there. As I was looking under the bed to get one of my shoes out, I noticed how dirty it is right under it, looks it hasn't been cleaned for quite some time. All that dust gets in the air with the AC and we breathe that when sleeping. Had I noticed it before, I would have mentioned it to the guys cleaning, but I noticed it on my way out. Regarding the bar, your bartenders are very nice and efficient. Love it there. The music playlist could be better as it plays again and again all day long, and it is not very diverse, mostly 80's music, which I like, but there's so many times in a day that you would like to listen to Michael Jackson's "Beat it". Finally, I reported with the front desk at check out that we consumed a club soda from the fridge, and we were charged $8. That was the only thing we took and I don't think it would cost $8. Also, there's a double charge of $43 on April 5 from the Bar. These may seem like a lot of complaints, but honestly, I noticed some of these on prior trips and didn't say anything. I chose to write instead of doing a review that may be perceived as coming from an angry customer. I hope to continue coming and staying with you, as this is one of the places we like the most in Key West. Thank you, Ernesto Molina

Very convenient location centrally located in Key West on Duval Street close to all the attractions the rooms were satisfactory we chose to go out for breakfast each morning as they have a very limited continental breakfast. it was nice having the free cocktails in the afternoon by the pool although you do have to pay an up charge from the well drinks. We had one day of housekeeping for total of a 4-day stay which I would have expected to have housekeeping everyday not sure what happened. The staff was very helpful and very friendly. I would consider staying a second time.
