Lakeland has 5 or 6 fine dining restaurants including a few new ones. The Grill, which is located in The Terrace Hotel in downtown Lakeland has been part of the fine dining scene for quite a few years. My husband and I frequent this restaurant...More
The terrace hotel is an average hotel, although certainly it is always fun to be in historic one. Rooms are decent size, but very plain. Service is average with no negatives, but no wow factors. City has little to offer, so more of a place...More

I don't know about either - I would email the hotel and ask them. But I agree with other responders - the hotel is in a beautiful part of Lakeland. Next to the hotel is Lake Mirror to walk around (small lake, no alligators), stroll through Hollis Gardens halfway around the lake, walk two blocks in another direction and walk around Lake Morton where the famous royal swans live, as well as white pelicans and many other shore birds, ducks, and geese. The Polk Museum of Art is also on Lake Morton as well as the Lakeland Public Library. A small block away from the Terrace is a shady park. Lots of unique shops and restaurants in that area also.
