By the "big white tent" I assume you are referring to the temporary white building that is located just below the first tower. We were at the hotel at a convention and I noticed that this temp. building was used to "stage" the tables, chairs and food catering for our "beach Blast" party the last night. I am guessing that this building function had previously been done from where the new tower is being built. The temp. building has a low profile and does not seem to bother most guests. I also assume that this facility will disappear when the new tower is complete
