In Mayo, this is my favorite, We have stayed 4 times. Super comfortable beds, charm is everywhere!Clean and great owners who work with your coming and going hours. Simple DIY breakfast works for us! You cannot go wrong here.

I would agree with GoForWalk in terms of their general review. I was in need of a room since all the local hotels were booked with people fleeing Hurricane Matthew. I found the owner Donna to be EXTREMELY congenial and helpful. I stayed in the Brook Suite on the first floor. The bed was absolutely fine, the A/C made the...

I grew up in Mayo where le chateau de lafayette is located. I moved away in the early 90s (Army) but came back regularly to visit family. As my family grew with wife, kids it was harder to stay with family because we were quite a large family and space became limited. So this trip we decided to stay at Le Chateau De...

We spent a night at the Le Chateau on the weekend after Christmas. The Negatives This is NOT a cookie-cutter motel. It is closer to a museum with antiques and intangible charm. Sounds like a positive doesn’t it? But you have to sacrifice some amenities: After we checked in, our room was getting a little hot and stuffy. Problem: I...

The property is very interesting and the room was great and everyone associated with the property was very helpful. However, the breakfast was awful and that is the reason for the poor rating. To be fair, and in a sense of full disclosure, the owner was away when a work colleague and I stayed here but neither of us was...

The place was very nice and quiet. The manager was very accommodating. I want to stay there again. It was very comfortable and clean. It was decorated very nice and has that southern hospitality. If you are looking to get away from the hustle and bustle, this is the place for you. It has nice rocking chairs on the porch...

My wife and I stayed here while attending a function in mayo.. the price was very good.. The entire building had an early 1900's decor.. the owner was sooo nice.. very nice.. No cooking though.. we assumed it was a typical Bed and Breakfast where they cooked but they had no oven.. but it was still very nice.. we would...

We loved this place. The house is rich in history and presents a side of Florida most people miss by staying on Interstates and beaches. From the Spanish moss to rocking on the wide porch in this sleepy town, if you enjoy richly appointed old treasures, good food, and old fashioned hospitality, plan a side-trip here. Take time to tour...

Let me start by saying we are not the B&B type. My husband and I were helping move his grandmother into her new home in Mayo and stayed here for three nights. We opted out on the breakfast part and were so busy we were mainly there for the beds! The woman who owned it was incredibly attentive, constantly checking...
