This is a no frills small place with about 20 units for about $120 night. The rooms were renovated after the 2004 hurricane and are in good shape. All have full kitchens and are well stocked maintained. There's nothing but a nice secluded type beach with no high-rises. There is a Publix very close, and restaurants 10 miles away in...

I cannot understand what the previous writer meant by "tiny beach". The beach stretches from the Cape to Miami. Nor the remark about sand everywhere. It is a beachside motel people. Only reason sand is everywhere is some guests do not shower before going into the pool after being on the beach. There is an outdoor shower next to the...

Beach is tiny, sand everywhere, pool was dirty, hardly any dune and room leaked when it rained. Was here a few years ago and it was so lovely. Now not so nice.

We chose Sandy Shoes based on: 1) Proximity to a function we were attending 2) It's right next to the beach 3) Reviews The rooms are dated - not run down but dated. Think 1970s. The Queen bed in our room was comfortable (the sleeper sofa was not). The mini kitchen was convenient and included dishes/utensils etc.... The tile floors...

We stayed at Sandy Shoes at the end of December to early January. We travelled with family and between us we had 3 units booked on the main floor - units 1, 2, and 3. The rooms had a nice living room, kitchen and separate bedroom/bathroom. The furnishings and whole unit was sparkling clean - nice kitchen to cook in...

After reading the previous 2 reviews I must admit I was worried about my reservation at this establishment. But I decided to go anyway because it would have been too inconvenient to change my plans at that time. Luckily the hotel is back to its origins and the person who caused the problems in the previous reviews no longer works...

I would not recommend staying at this motel. It used to be friendly and relaxing. This hotel does not have any security. Apparently, they let people have keys to enter the rooms that have no business doing so. NO SECURITY HERE!! The people that work there now are very nosy and unfriendly. It is very uncomfortable there, whenever you go out...

We stay here every year. This Motel use to be the only one that offered complete privacy. The manager apologized for this person who she said was helping in the office per the owner. She obviously needs medical atteniton. We were very uncomfortable and felt we were being watched. If you want complete privacy DO NOT go to Sandy Shoes....

Saw other reviews from Trip Advisor and my wife and I decided to stay at the Sandy Shoes from Jan 6th-11th. We booked room #4, directly on the Ocean. The view is spectacular! To wake up every morning and walk out onto our private wood deck with nothing to look at but the Atlantic and the sunrise is as close...
