The 'boutique' aspect of the hotel is more than misleading and the owners have clearly not thoughts about the basic requirements they need to fulfill before they can even go into the boutique status of their business- the pool looks good, comfy poolside seats and the rooms are kitted out with flatscreens and stylish furniture, but the lighting is so...

I have been staying at the New Yorker for 6 nights now and it has been real cool. It is a short easy drive to south beach. Right down the street from down town Miami with some of the hottest night life in the world. Several nice bars, grills and restaurants within walking distance. There is a very nice little...

I was there April 30th with a friend to stay in Miami before a cruise. I have to say I was quite surprised at how cute the room was. It was modern, clean and very comfortable. They do have a pool that could have probably been more clean but it was clean enough to swim in ( I swam for...

I really loved this hotel! It was very nicely done. they did a nice job of keeping the existing hotel structure and updating the interior. We really enjoyed the patio in the back where they serve breakfast. This area is definitely transitional but anyone who has lived in or near a city understands what "up and coming" neighborhood means. It...

We stumbled accross this hotel while searching for a place to stay before and after our cruise. The property is totally remodled with current and trendy furnishings. What made the property really stand out was the service the owners, Shirley & Walter provided us with. We were able to leave our cars there while we cruised, they took us and...

What you get with the New Yorker is an old fashioned motel that's been spruced up and made over. On the whole they've done a very good job, but there were a few things that let it down. On the plus side the room was large and nicely done out. The staff were great and the breakfast was pleasant. But,...

I first stayed one night, last week, before my cruise. I was a little leary at first as it is located across the street from a local park but to my surprise, police presence was constant, so I felt secure. Room was very comfortable, quiet and very clean. Came back one week later after my cruise, after making a reservation the previous...

This was our first visit to Miami and we booked the New Yorker after reading the Trip Advisor reviews. We did a fly drive to Miami and arranged accommodation in Miami, Islamorada, Naples and Fort Lauderdale and ended our holiday with a 3 day cruise to the Bahamas. We stayed at the New Yorker at the start of our holiday...

My partner and I stayed here over a quick trip to Miami. Although the owners clearly have made an effort to spruce up the joint, it falls far short. The rooms are not carpeted and there no throw rugs separating your feet from a rather scuzzy tile floor. Lots of things were missing: a channel guide, batteries to the remote...

I live in Coral Gables, and had to stay away from my house for termite problems, me and my two kids were looking for a place closed to the good restaurants and the artsy crowd, we decided to go around the district and Biscayne, it is an upcoming area but we are from Miami, we know where to go, I...
